Centre cuts export duty and windfall tax on diesel from September 1

The Centre has cut the export levy and windfall tax on diesel exports from September 1. The export duty has been reduced to Rs 1 per litre from Rs 3, while the windfall tax has been cut to Rs 19 per litre from Rs 24, lowering the overall tax burden on diesel exporters.
