As Baar Baar Dekho completes 10 years, its song Sau Aasmaan continues to be remembered by listeners. Composed by Amaal Malik, sung by Armaan Malik and Neeti Mohan, and penned by Kumaar, the romantic track was among the popular songs from the films album. The songs upbeat sound, along with Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotras on-screen chemistry, added to its appeal. A decade after its release, the makers and singers have looked back on their experience of creating the track. Amaal Malik recalled working on the song and said, Sau Aasmaan was great fun to compose for Baar Baar Dekho. Armaan and Neeti brought such amazing energy to this peppy romantic number, and Armaan and I have some wonderful memories from recording it. Azeem Dayanis vision as the music supervisor and Kumaars beautiful lyrics played an important role in bringing the song together, while Nitya Mehras incredible vision elevated it visually and gave it a distinct identity. Even today, hearing it takes me straight back to those recording days it still feels like a little musical road trip! Neeti Mohan also spoke about her connection with the song, describing it as a track that continues to evoke happy memories. She said, Sau Aasmaan has always been very close to my heart. It has that rare quality of making you want to pack your bags, fall in love and just get away somewhere beautiful. Recording it with Amaal, Armaan and Kumaar was such a lovely experience because the song had such a natural, breezy energy to it. Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotras chemistry showcased a perfect dreamy, carefree romance. Even after ten years, Im amazed by how beautifully the song has stayed with people. I love it when the song plays for dance performances by kids or at weddings. Its one of those songs that takes you back to a nostalgic, happy memory. Armaan Malik reflected on the challenges of creating the song and how it has remained relevant over the years. He said, Baar Baar Dekho and Sau Aasmaan will always hold a very special place in my heart. I still remember the excitement around the song and how much fun it was recording it with Neeti. Creating a proper danceable Bollywood love song with that breezy, summery, almost EDM-esque sound is actually quite challenging because you want it to feel big and euphoric without losing the romance and soul of the melody. Amaal composed the song beautifully, and I think he really nailed that balance. The combination of his composition with Kumaars writing created something that felt fresh for its time, but still had that timeless Bollywood emotion at its core. Azeem Dayanis music supervision and creative contribution also added so much to the song and helped elevate the overall sound. Ten years later, its honestly incredible to see the kind of love Sau Aasmaan still gets. Riteish Deshmukh recently recalled an unexpected moment of kindness involving a paparazzo outside a Mumbai restaurant. The actor shared that he had no cash with him when he wanted to buy something worth Rs 100 from a child, and a paparazzo stepped in to help. Riteish explained that he was walking out of the restaurant when he noticed a child selling something for Rs 100. Since he usually relies on digital payments, he did not have cash on him. We were walking out, and there was a child who was selling something for Rs 100. You have become so cashless today I wasnt carrying money. Now, I dont carry money because everything is digital, he said. He initially asked his chauffeur, Sau rupaye chhutta hai kya? (Do you have a change of Rs 100?), but was told there was no cash available. Riteish then asked the child whether he accepted Google Pay, assuming he might have a QR code. However, the child replied, GPay nahin hai mere paas (I dont have GPay). At that point, a paparazzo offered to pay the amount on Riteishs behalf. The actor recalled, And it was so nice of one paparazzo, whose name I didnt know, but now, I know, his name is Sushil Mohite, if Im not wrong, but if Im wrong, then Im very sorry. He said, Main deta hoon (I will give). With the situation becoming chaotic due to traffic and photographers around him, Riteish tried to get Sushils GPay details so he could return the money. However, the paparazzo declined, saying, Nahin, rehne do (No, let it go). Riteish later clicked his picture before leaving. Once inside the car, Riteish decided to use Instagram to find him. So then I just posted on my story saying, I owe him. I need to pay him back. And finally, in fact I got his number, he said. After getting in touch with Sushil, Riteish thanked him and insisted on returning the money. Reflecting on the incident, he said the gesture mattered more than the amount. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently met the team of Hanuman Ansh, including director Vishal Chaturvedi and lead actor Shobhinaw Satyaa. The meeting took place at the CMs official residence in Lucknow.
Hanuman Ansh is on an unstoppable run and interestingly, it ends with the promise of a sequel. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, producer Namrata Singh of SacredIP Trans Media Tech, spoke about it and a lot more. Namrata Singh said, We have always imagined it as a three-part series. We pitched it to everyone as a trilogy. She added, So the first part is of Maharaj ji's early years until Kainchi Dham, second part will focus on Kainchi and the third part will be the international story. Nothing is written yet. It'll take a couple of months for the team to calibrate. We need to take a break before that. We haven't done that in 1 years. We thought we'll get a respite after release but now our days are long! So, we'll at least take 90 days to resume work. Namrata Singh revealed, We know the concept and how the second and third part is looking like. Vishal Chaturvedi is a very fast writer. He wrote the script of the first part in less than a month. We finished the shoot in 22 days. We shot 2 days in Mumbai and the rest in Chitrakoot. It was challenging to shoot there but we pulled it off. Hanuman Ansh is based on the life of Neeb Karori Baba. Among his crores of followers are prominent celebrities like Julia Roberts Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. Will they make a cameo in the second part? Namrata replied, I have reached out to some of them and there were aware of the film earlier. She further stated, I am a devotee and so is Vishal. We have personal stories with Maharaj ji since 14 years and Vishal for 20 years. We want to make films on our saints and take it to the world. There are thousands of devotees whose life he touched in India and they come first, without doubt. The Kainchi story is about the Indian devotees. The third film will focus on how he put India on the global map by spiritual energy that he transferred to the foreigners, be it Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, Julia Roberts, etc. However, we'll touch on it later (in the third part). Actress-producer Manasi Parekh and singer-performer-producer Parthiv Gohil have unveiled their upcoming slate of three international feature films at the Venice Film Festival. The three projects, which are being developed as Hinglish films, explore different genres and subjects while aiming to connect with audiences beyond geographical and linguistic boundaries. Manasi Parekh and Parthiv Gohil shared the stage at the Venice Film Festival with award-winning international directors Maria Soccor, Michela Scolari and Sophie Venecia Reyes. During the event, Parekh spoke about the importance of nuanced storytelling and how meaningful stories can influence society, shape culture and, at times, redefine value systems. The first film to go on floors will be Purple America, an adaptation of award-winning American author Rick Moodys acclaimed novel. The film explores themes of family, mortality, trauma and love. Moodys earlier novel, The Ice Storm, was previously adapted into a celebrated film by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ang Lee. The second project, Nanda Devi, is a high-concept international mystery thriller set against the Himalayas. Based on climber Rob Schallers life rights, the film explores the real-life disappearance of five kilograms of plutonium during a covert Himalayan mission. The third film, Laxman, revolves around a young boy whose experiences with poverty and his love for drinking milk inspire him to dream of caring for abandoned cows. His personal dream eventually grows into a larger movement. Speaking about the three international productions, actor-producer Manasi Parekh said, Our production company Soul Sutra has already been taking Gujarati films to global audiences but now we will be expanding the scope & geography of our storytelling right from the scratch. As an actor I feel language can never constrict a good story, it will always find its audience and the world anyway has become a way smaller place, especially with OTT. All the three films that we will be producing now are high concept stories, distinct and have a global audience. Human emotions, fears, aspirations are the same from India to Indiana, we just have to address that. Actress Pratibha Ranta believes the historical drama is less about making viewers feel like they are attending a history class and more about taking them on a journey filled with friendship, discovery and adventure. Drawing an unexpected comparison with the popular Harry Potter franchise, Ranta relates the young revolutionaries in the series to Harry, Hermione and Ron. She describes them as a group of young people who come together, try to piece together a larger puzzle and navigate an important chapter of history. Speaking about the shows contemporary approach to history, Pratibha Ranta said, I think people should just have a fun time watching it because whenever you talk about history, it becomes a history class, and I really dont want the audience to feel that way. I want them to enjoy it. In my head, The Revolutionaries feels a little like the gang from the Harry Potter franchise Harry, Hermione and Ron were always trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle, and I associate the revolutionaries with that in a way. I want people to watch the show, have fun and learn about what happened in our history, but not in a very classroom-like way. It should feel like an interesting journey when we watch them take on the Empire. I want everybody to have a great time watching it, while also realising what happened back then. Nikkhil sir has shot the show keeping this in mind. The approach and each of these characters, both intentionally feel very contemporary. So I want people to just enjoy watching the show rather than feel like theyre taking a history lesson.
