Isha Malviya makes Bollywood debut alongside Gurmeet Choudhary in Tum Mere Ho; arrives in cinemas on October 23

Love takes an intense turn as Gurmeet Choudhary and Isha Malviya come together for the first time in Tum Mere Ho, an intense love story that blends romance with action and adventure. The film marks Isha Malviyas Bollywood debut and is set to arrive in theatres on October 23. The makers have unveiled the first posters of the film, offering a glimpse into the passionate world of Gurmeet and Isha, where love, emotion and the challenges that come with it take centre stage. With Gurmeet and Isha headlining the film, Tum Mere Ho aims to take audiences beyond a conventional love story, bringing together intense romance, action and adventure against an emotionally charged narrative. The posters hint at a relationship that is driven by powerful emotions and tested by circumstances. Speaking about the film and his collaboration with Gurmeet Choudhary and Isha Malviya, director Aashish Panda said, It feels surreal to bring the intensity of love through Tum Mere Ho on the big screen. This is a story where love is not just about beautiful moments, but about the emotions, challenges and circumstances that test two people. We wanted to create an intense love story that also carries the thrill of action and adventure, making the experience larger and more cinematic. As an actor and a producer, it was an absolute breeze to work with Gurmeet Choudhary. Never once did we feel like we were working on a film. It felt like a collaboration on something that came from our hearts. Gurmeet brought the intensity and conviction that the role demanded, and he has truly immersed himself in this world, he added. Speaking about Isha Malviya, Panda said, Isha Malviya brought that feminine softness and emotional depth to the character, while also carrying the strength that the story demands. She fit the role so perfectly that we didnt have to look beyond her. This being her Bollywood debut makes it even more special. I hope audiences connect with the heart of Tum Mere Ho and experience the intensity, action and adventure that we have brought to the big screen. Headlined by Gurmeet Choudhary and Isha Malviya, Tum Mere Ho is directed by Aashish Panda and produced by Reva Creative House and DebGuru Films, with music by Saregama and distribution handled by PVR Pictures. The film is produced by Aarti S and Debina Bonnerjee. Written by Niranjan Iyengar and Purva Naresh, the film brings together musical compositions by Mithoon, Sanju Rathod, Vivek Verma, Krish and Uddipan Sharma. Tum Mere Ho arrives in theatres on October 23. Also Read: EXCLUSIVE: Gurmeet Choudhary teases fans with cryptic Ganesh Chaturthi post, fuels Tum Mere Ho buzz

One Year Of The Ba***ds Of Bollywood: Mona Singh recalls Aryan Khans directorial debut; says, I knew that it was going to be a kick-ass show

As The Ba**ds of Bollywood* completes one year, Mona Singh is looking back at her experience of being part of Aryan Khans directorial debut. The Netflix series, which premiered on September 18, 2025, brought together satire, Bollywood references and meta humour, along with an ensemble cast featuring Mona Singh, Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba and Anya Singh, among others. Mona played the character of Neeta Singh in the series. Reflecting on whether she had anticipated the shows success, Mona said that the team could recognise its potential while they were still shooting. She credited the script, humour and the meta elements for making the experience memorable. Speaking about the series and her time on set, she said, Of course. See, I knew that it was going to be a kick-ass show. I knew it. While we were shooting, we knew it was going to be a big hit. Because of the jokes, the script, everything was so meta, so good that we could not stop laughing while shooting. When I was shooting the climax, I was like, 'No, this dance is not happening. How am I supposed to do this dance?' But we did it. It was a lot of fun.And Aryan (Khan) is the youngest director I have worked with. We learned and experienced so much together on the set. It was beautiful. A year after its release, Monas comments offer a glimpse into the atmosphere on the sets of The Ba**ds of Bollywood*. She recalled the teams reaction to the script and humour, while also speaking about her experience of working with Aryan Khan, who made his directorial debut with the series. Kunal Kapoor calls working on Ramayana almost meditative: I've never been on a set like that

Kunal Kapoor is set to play Lord Indra Dev in Ramayana, one of the major releases lined up this year. The actor has now spoken about his experience of working on the film and what he believes sets the retelling apart. According to Kunal, while the story remains familiar to audiences, the film aims to offer a different cinematic experience through its treatment, visuals, action and music. With the Ramayana, everyone already knows the story. You can't change it, and you shouldn't. We've grown up with it, we've seen countless retellings, it's part of who we are. What's exciting about this film is that the story stays the same but the experience is entirely new. The way it's shot, the action, the music. You'll walk in knowing exactly what happens and still walk out having felt something you haven't felt before, he said. Reflecting on his time on the sets, Kunal described the atmosphere as unlike any other project he had worked on. He said the scale of the film was accompanied by a sense of focus among the cast and crew, particularly given the cultural significance of the story. He added, I've never been on a set like that. It was quiet. Almost meditative. You could feel that everyone knew they were part of something that mattered. To do that with a story that's such an important part of our cultural heritage, alongside people who love what they're saying, is something I'll carry with me. Kunal also addressed the criticism and discussions that have emerged online around the film's visuals, costumes and creative choices. He acknowledged that some feedback comes from audiences and people familiar with filmmaking, while noting that not every online opinion needs to be followed. I don't spend much time with it. Everyone has social media now. Some of that comes from people who understand the craft, or from an audience that loves this story and wants the best version of it, and that opinion is worth hearing. But plenty of it exists to go viral, to be the interesting thing someone said that day. You can't chase all of it. He added that the focus ultimately remains on the work being done by the team. You focus on the work. Nitesh sir and Namit have put so much into this that no stone will be left unturned, he concluded. Ramayana features Kunal Kapoor alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, Lara Dutta and a larger ensemble cast. The film is slated to release on November 6 this year. Asian Games: We are well prepared,' says India's kabaddi captain Sunil Kumar

Digital Desk | New Delhi, Sep 18 (IANS) Indian mens kabaddi team captain Sunil Kumar believes the side is well prepared for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, with an extended training programme helping the players build combinations, work on tactics and strengthen their individual skills ahead of the continental showpiece. The 27-year-old right defender, who was part of Indias gold-medal-winning campaign at the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2022, will lead a squad that combines experienced players with emerging talent. The current 12-member squad includes four members of the Hangzhou gold-medal-winning side: Sunil, Arjun Deshwal, Aslam Inamdar and Pawan Sehrawat. The team also features established Pro Kabaddi League players such as Ashu Malik, Jaideep Dahiya, Devank Dalal and Rahul Sethpal, while Ayan Lohchab represents the younger generation. Sunil said the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the kabaddi federation started the teams camp six to eight months in advance, allowing the players sufficient time to work on their combinations and strategy. The preparation has been very good because our federation and SAI started our camp six to eight months ago. We have planned the team combination and strategy well, Sunil told SAI Media. We first practised at SAI Bengaluru, then went to Bellary for training, and now our camp is at SAI Gandhinagar. The extended preparation has also helped the players understand their respective roles and develop greater clarity about the teams tactical approach. India will enter the Asian Games looking to build on its strong record in kabaddi. The mens team won gold at the 2022 Hangzhou Games, with Sunil, Arjun, Aslam and Pawan part of that campaign. Our senior players gave the team a different identity and brought so many gold medals for India. We want to maintain that legacy, add another gold medal to Indias tally and follow the path that our legends have created, Sunil said. The captain also stressed the importance of a collective effort, with India possessing strength in both raiding and defence. You cannot win just by one persons effort. This time, our raiding and defence departments are both quite strong. To a large extent, we have the top players in kabaddi in our team, whether you look at the raiders or the defenders, he said. We have done all the preparation. We have worked on our strategy, team combination, fitness and individual skills. Now we have to execute all of that properly when the competition comes. The effort of one player will not be enough. Everyone has to contribute. Our raiders, defenders and all-rounders have to work together as one team, he added. The kabaddi competition will be held at the Tokai Citizen Gymnasium in Tokai City, Aichi Prefecture, with Indias campaign beginning on September 21 and the finals scheduled for September 26.

'No good can come from digging past': Ex-Babri Masjid litigant on Swara Bhaskar's Ram Janmabhoomi remark

Digital Desk | Ayodhya, Sep 18 (IANS) Reacting to actress Swara Bhaskar's controversial statement on the Ram temple case verdict, former Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi litigant Iqbal Ansari said on Friday that the court judgment on the Ram temple was announced by the Supreme Court, and people across the country respected the decision given by the apex court. He also added that there were no communal disharmony anywhere in the country following the verdict. Ansari said, The Ram Temple verdict was a court decision, and people across the country respected it. Not even a leaf was disturbed anywhere in the country. He added that digging the past can do no good to the country. Speaking to IANS, Ansari said that speaking on the matter should be avoided because the court judgment has already come. If anyone says anything regarding the Ram Temple verdict, it should be avoided, because people across the country had respected the decision of the court, he added. The decision has come, Ram Mandir has been built, prayers and rituals have been completed, people flock to the temple with complete devotion. Swara Bhaskar should avoid speaking on the matter, because all the people of the country have accepted the verdict respectfully, Ansari said. The former Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi litigant said, When all the people are coming and worshipping the deity, when there is no bias or discrimination Raising an issue of the past can bring no good, because we are residents of Ayodhya. We want Hindus and Muslims of the region to live in peace together with communal harmony. Lord Ram was born there. Hindus should be able to worship the deity. According to reports, actor Swara Bhaskar courted controversy after she said in a recent interview that the 2019 Supreme Court verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi gave her a lot of pain and that she was really upset about it because she felt it was very unfair. Adding that she personally texted all the Muslim people in her contact list and sought their forgiveness. She added that she even messaged major stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. She went on to say in the interview that she felt ashamed and that she did not agree to the Supreme Court's verdict.

The saying points to the gap between what people see and what exists beyond that view. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cole Palmer are back in the England squad, but Tuchel says nothing's guaranteed yet

Alexander-Arnold is an England international again, on paper at least, after fifteen months out of the picture. Thomas Tuchel named his squad for this month's Nations League fixtures with both Alexander-Arnold and Cole Palmer back in, the two most notable absences from England's World Cup run this summer, and the two names every conversation about this squad was always going to start with. Eight changes separate this squad from the one that took England to a third-place finish at the World Cup in North America this summer. Phil Foden and Jordan Henderson are among those dropping out. Newcastle's Lewis Hall, Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly and Liverpool's Rio Ngumoha are among those coming in alongside the two headline returns. None of the other changes were the story today, though. Those were always going to be Alexander-Arnold and Palmer. Why they were both left out in the first place Neither absence was really controversial at the time, even if both were talked about constantly. Alexander-Arnold hadn't played for England since June 2025, a run that stretched back well before the World Cup squad was even picked, while he adjusted to life at Real Madrid after leaving Liverpool. Palmer's omission came down to fitness and form together: a groin injury disrupted his season just as Chelsea slumped to a tenth-place Premier League finish, and Tuchel opted for other options rather than gamble on a player who wasn't fully right. What's changed is simple enough. Palmer has started this season with four goals and two assists in his first six games under Xabi Alonso, numbers that make his omission from the summer look considerably more debatable in hindsight than it did at the time. Alexander-Arnold has settled into two different positions at Real Madrid and made his case with a strong start to the season in Spain, enough that Tuchel felt there was no longer a reason to leave him out of the conversation. Tuchel's own message: this is a chance, not a return Asked directly about both recalls, Tuchel was careful not to frame either as a settled decision. Cole has his numbers back, he said, before adding, of Alexander-Arnold specifically, that he was never non-selectable. The distinction matters. Tuchel is treating both recalls as an opportunity to compete for a place rather than a return to guaranteed selection, particularly for Alexander-Arnold, who Tuchel confirmed will report to camp as a right-back in a position where competition remains genuinely fierce. England open their Nations League campaign against reigning European and world champions Spain at Wembley on 26 September, before matches against the Czech Republic and Croatia follow in the same window. For two players who spent the World Cup watching from home, the message from their own manager is blunt enough: getting picked again isn't the hard part. Staying picked is.
