The season of love and heartbreak is here with Ishq Ka Ghulaam song from Prem Keetanu. This new number intends to showcase the bittersweet side of love, the one that comes with vulnerability, void and pain. Bringing Ishq Ka Ghulaam to life are celebrated singers B Praak and Sukriti Kakar, with music composed by The Rish and lyrics penned by Kunaal Vermaa. Speaking about the song, B Praak said, It feels surreal to be a part of Prem Keetanu through Ishq Ka Ghulaam song, and bring the feeling of love a full circle through heartbreak, followed by the grief that comes with it. Ishq Ka Ghulaam will make you feel the pain of heartbreak over and over again with the intention to rekindle the feeling of hope and love all over again. Ishq Ka Ghulaam captures the void that love often leaves back, along with memories that refuse to fade away. The song is out on Zee Music Companys YouTube channel and all streaming platforms. The film features seven songs, bringing together well-known singers including Sachet Tandon, Parampara Tandon, B Praak, Armaan Malik, Papon, Jubin Nautiyal, Madhur Sharma, Altamash Faridi, Shashi Suman and Brijesh Shandilya. Rappers Little Bhatia and Mazemusicc also feature on the album. Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki and produced by Gaurav Verma under Avanika Films, the movie is co-presented with Phars Films in association with Bhavana Studios and produced by Gaurav Verma. Prem Keetanu stars Veer Pahariya, Aafiya Sayed, Aparshakti Khurana, Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay. Prem Keetanu is set for a worldwide theatrical release on October 2, 2026. Also Read: Veer Pahariya offers prayers at Kamakhya temple ahead of Prem Keetanu release
Pankaj Tripathi has spoken about the way the success of Mirzapur: The Movie has been handled by its makers, particularly producer Ritesh Sidhwani. The actor appreciated Sidhwani for not putting pressure on the cast to regularly share box office figures on social media following the films theatrical release. Mirzapur: The Movie, based on the popular web series, opened in theatres to a strong response. The film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide during its opening weekend and has continued to add to its global collections. Despite the box office milestones, the makers did not make collection updates a constant part of the casts social media activity. Speaking about Sidhwanis approach after the films release, Pankaj Tripathi said, Once the film was released in theatres and the daily numbers started coming in, Riteshs approach was remarkable. Even as we crossed milestones, there was zero pressure from his end to project or showcase numbers across social media. Box office figures have increasingly become a part of film promotions, with actors and production houses often sharing daily or milestone collections online. According to Tripathi, Sidhwani chose a different approach with Mirzapur: The Movie, allowing the audience response and word of mouth to play a larger role in the films theatrical journey. Elaborating on the decision, Pankaj added, It was entirely his decision to let the films success spread organically through word of mouth instead of attempting to constantly project numbers. That mindset was really impressive and says a lot about him as a producer. The film continued its theatrical run after its opening, recording steady collections during the weekdays. It has reportedly crossed Rs 195 crore net in India and has also continued its run in overseas markets. Presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment, Mirzapur: The Movie is directed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna. The film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, with Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani serving as co-producers. The cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee and Rasika Dugal, among others. The trailer of Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha has been launched ahead of the films simultaneous release in cinemas across India in Hindi and Chhattisgarhi on September 25, 2026. Starring Dev Sharma as Shri Ram, Anjali Arora as Mata Sita and Rajniesh Duggall as Ravan, alongside Sheel Verma as Lakshman and Nirbhay Wadhwa as Hanuman, the film brings the journey of Lord Ram to the big screen. The trailer moves through some of the defining moments and emotions of the Ramayan, from the bond between Shri Ram and Mata Sita and the journey of vanvas to Sita Haran, Hanuman jis Bhakti and the eventual confrontation between dharm and adharm. The trailer frames this central conflict through the thought, Adharm Ke Saamne Dharm Ka Naam, Shri Ram, placing Dharma and Maryada at the heart of the films telling. At the heart of the film is what the makers describe as its Katha Bhav, the emotional and devotional quality with which the Ramayan has been heard, watched and experienced within families over generations. The films larger thought has similarly viewed Shri Ram through Maryada, Mata Sita through Sankalp, Hanuman ji through Bhakti and Lakshman through Kartavya. While recent big-screen interpretations have often been defined by scale and spectacle, Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha takes a more intimate route, drawing its strength from the katha, its music and its emotional core. Director Abhishek Singh said, Every filmmaker will have a different way of approaching the Ramayan. For us, the first question was what feeling we wanted the audience to carry with them. We kept returning to the Katha Bhav, the Prem between Shri Ram and Mata Sita, Hanuman jis Bhakti, Lakshmans Kartavya and the Maryada with which Shri Ram faces every circumstance. That bhav had to remain at the centre of our telling. For producers Prakash Mahobiya and Sanjay Bundela, the decision to make the film also came from a deeply personal connection with the katha. They said, The Ramayan has travelled from one generation to another in so many ways, through kathas, bhajans, families sitting together and through the screen. What stays with us is not only the events, but the bhav with which we receive them. We were not setting out to make the biggest or most expensive interpretation. We wanted to make the film with shraddha and create an experience that families across generations could watch together. Dev Sharma, who plays Lord Ram, said, For me, Shri Rams strength lies not only in what he can do, but in the restraint, compassion, duty and Maryada with which he makes every choice. That became the starting point for me. There is a different responsibility when you portray someone who is not merely a character for people, but someone they revere. Even saying Jai Shri Ram creates an aura around you that, in itself, reminds you to stay on the right path. Anjali Arora, who makes her feature-film debut as Mata Sita, said, What stayed closest to my heart about Mata Sita was her unwavering resolve. There is immense grace and gentleness within her, but behind that gentleness lies an extraordinary inner strength. Even through the most difficult circumstances and periods of separation, she never let go of her dignity, her faith or her values. For me, the most important part of portraying her was to bring that inner strength and dignity into my performance with complete sensitivity. Rajniesh Duggall, who plays Ravan, said, Ravan possessed immense knowledge, power and stature, but ultimately his aham became greater than his wisdom. Raavan had ten heads, but it was the one called I that destroyed him. We all have a Ravan within us. We just need to make sure we dont feed him. That, for me, is also what makes the conflict between Dharma and Adharma so deeply relevant even today. Among the notable voices associated with the films music are Kailash Kher, Javed Ali, Farhad Bhiwandiwala, Anurag Sharma and Sunil Soni across its Hindi and Chhattisgarhi songs, with Shaan also lending his voice to an upcoming song. The films connection with Chhattisgarh extends beyond language. Parts of Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha were filmed at real locations across the state, allowing the natural terrain to become part of the world of the katha. Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha is directed by Abhishek Singh, produced by Prakash Mahobiya and Sanjay Bundela, co-produced by Honey Kuldeep Agarwal and Monika Sen, and presented by Ajay Kanojia of AJ Film Entertainment World. The film is a Mahobiya Films Production. Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha releases simultaneously in cinemas across India in Hindi and Chhattisgarhi on September 25, 2026. Ali Zafar has spoken against the body-shaming faced by his Mere Brother Ki Dulhan co-star Katrina Kaif following her recent public appearance. The Pakistani actor-singer addressed social media comments about Katrinas post-pregnancy appearance and urged people, particularly men, to reconsider the beauty standards they place on women. In a video circulating online, Ali said he had come across posts comparing Katrinas appearance before and after pregnancy. He noted that he has spoken against such trolling in the past as well, including when Pakistani actors such as Mahira Khan faced similar comments. Speaking about the issue, Ali said, We all need to look within ourselves. Especially as a man, if I am speaking about this, I think it is very important for us to look within ourselves and make the necessary corrections. We have all made mistakes in life; no one is perfect. But it is important to recognise those mistakes and correct them. But if we talk man to man, the privilege we assume comes with being a man, and the way we perceive a woman, her body, the way she thinks and the way she lives if she does not fit the standards that we have created, we immediately put that woman down. Ali also spoke about the unrealistic expectations surrounding physical appearance for both women and men. He said, This is wrong; this is not the right way to look at things. Every person is going through their own struggles, and we do not know what someone else might be dealing with. So, we should be kind to people, compassionate, understanding, accepting and appreciative. If you study the renaissance, in the earlier era, concepts about womens bodies were different. Then came a time when women were expected to have a zero figure, and even towards men, the expectations about six-pack abs are not realistic. They are not healthy. Its not healthy to always criticise other people. They are all human beings and we have the potential to be nice to each other. He concluded, We all have a past. I will feel ashamed if I ever criticise someone on the basis of their looks. We all must look inside and, as men, we should correct ourselves that we shouldnt do this. Every woman has their life, what she has gone through, what her past, present or future, let her live, and you live your life. Katrina, who welcomed her son Vihaan with husband Vicky Kaushal in November last year, recently made a rare public appearance with him at Mukesh and Nita Ambanis Ganpati celebration. Following the appearance, some social media users shared her pre- and post-pregnancy pictures while commenting on her appearance. The actor had also faced similar comments after she was spotted at filmmaker Kuku Kohlis prayer meet in August. Actor Shivaleeka Oberoi had then supported Katrina on social media, writing, Kya ho gaya hai (What happened) means?! This is Motherhood! Ali made his Bollywood debut with Tere Bin Laden in 2010 and later appeared in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, London, Paris, New York and Chashme Baddoor. He also contributed songs to Hindi films, including Ullu Da Pattha, Madhubala and Nahi Re Nahi. His Bollywood career was later affected by tensions in India-Pakistan relations. Following the 2016 Uri attack, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena called for a ban on Pakistani artistes working in India. Singer-composer Vishal Mishra is bringing the cultural and devotional traditions of Bihars Chhath festival to mainstream Hindi cinema with Chhathi Maiya, the latest song from Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest. The song brings the festival to the big screen, with Tamannaah performing Chhath rituals alongside Sidharth. For Vishal Mishra, Chhathi Maiya holds significance beyond being another addition to a film soundtrack. The song gives him an opportunity to introduce the faith, traditions and cultural identity associated with Chhath to a wider audience through mainstream Bollywood cinema. Vishal has sung and composed the track, while the lyrics have been penned by Kaushal Kishore. The collaboration also marks a reunion between the two artistes, who previously worked together on the 2021 devotional song Chhathi Maiya Bulaye. The song went on to garner over 16 million views on YouTube, making their collaboration on the new track a continuation of their association with music rooted in Bhojpuri culture. Speaking about the cultural relevance of Chhathi Maiya, Vishal highlighted his personal connection with the traditions represented by the song. He has described Bhojpuri as more than just a language, calling it a reflection of the soil, folk traditions and cultural identity of Bihar and Purvanchal. It is truly an honour and a blessing for me to bring the faith and sacred tradition of Chhath, deeply rooted in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, to Hindi cinema for the first time, Vishal has said, adding that his wish is for the beauty and fragrance of the culture to travel to every corner of the world. The song brings the rituals and devotional atmosphere of Chhath to the screen, with Tamannaah Bhatia seen performing the rituals alongside Sidharth Malhotra. The release has also connected with audiences who share a personal and cultural association with the festival. Chhathi Maiya thus marks a move from Vishals earlier independent devotional work into a mainstream Hindi film setting, while retaining the cultural roots at the centre of the song. Through the track, the makers have incorporated an important festival associated with Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand into the narrative and musical world of The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest. Directed by Deepak Mishra, The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 25. Dulquer Salmaans 'Aakasam Lo Oka Tara' sets November 20 theatrical release
Ajay Bijli has embarked on a new creative chapter with the launch of his debut EP, On Another Note in Aug 2026, marking his official foray into music as an independent artist. A project born out of a personal passion for music and a desire to explore a new form of creative expression, the three-song EP has music by Amit Trivedi and lyrics by Shellee. Distributed by Warner Music India, On Another Note explores three distinct emotions through its songshope, gratitude and celebration. The EP was introduced in August with the release of Rab Rakhda, video- a song rooted in faith, hope and the belief that even when the road ahead is uncertain, one can continue to move forward with optimism. The next video of the EP unfolds with Dil Kare Haaye Haaye, released on September 16. A joyous, high-energy celebration of the way Indians come together, the song captures the uninhibited spirit, warmth and beautiful chaos of an Indian celebration. At its heart, it is a quintessential Indian wedding song. Bringing this celebratory spirit to the screen is filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who has directed the music video, with choreography by acclaimed choreographer Ganesh Acharya. Ajay Bijli said: Dil Kare Haaye Haaye is a song about the wonderful way we celebrate. It is a quintessential Indian wedding song, the kind that makes you want to sing, dance, and then sing a little louder. The song is very special to me, and bringing it to life with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Ganesh Acharya has been an incredible experience. Rakeysh has brought such a distinct visual imagination to the video, while Ganeshs choreography gives it an infectious energy that I think audiences will really enjoy. For me, the video is a celebration in every sense, of music, togetherness, and the sheer joy of being alive. I hope people watch it, dance to it, and make it a part of their own celebrations. Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra said: Ajay is a natural and gifted singer. His voice takes you deep within yourself, like a bridge between your soul and the whole world. Ganesh Acharya said: Dil Kare Haaye Haaye is a song that naturally makes you want to move. It has the energy, warmth, and beautiful chaos of our fun, larger-than-life Indian weddings, and that made choreographing it such a wonderful experience. What I really enjoyed was creating movements that felt spontaneous and rooted in the way we actually celebrate, especially at our weddings. The idea was not just to make people dance, but to make them feel like they are a part of the celebration. He added, Working with Mr. Ajay Bijli was a lovely experience. There is an ease and sincerity to him, and it was important for us to retain that while bringing out a more playful and celebratory side of him on screen. The way he has sung the song also adds a very personal and effortless charm to it. There is a certain youthfulness and charm in his voice. And working with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is always great; he has a very distinctive way of looking at music and movement, and together we tried to create something that feels fresh, colorful, and full of life. I hope Dil Kare Haaye Haaye becomes one of those songs that finds its way into weddings, celebrations, and happy moments. Dil Kare Haaye Haaye has been composed by Amit Trivedi. Talking about the song, he said, Dil Kare Haaye Haaye is a song that fits perfectly into every kind of celebration. It has an infectious energy, and Mr. Ajay Bijli has brought his own warmth and personality to the song as a singer. He has sung it beautifully, creating a vibe that is a lot of fun to listen to. The video takes that feeling a step further, and I can genuinely see Dil Kare Haaye Haaye becoming the soundtrack to weddings, parties and all those beautiful moments when you simply want to dance, sing and be happy. I am very excited for audiences to experience the song in this new avatar. Shellee, who has penned the lyrics for the song, said, Dil Kare Haye Haye is a quirky, fun-loving song about the laughter, jokes and madness that come with Indian marriage celebrations. I wanted to capture that spirit through the words and composition, and Amit Trivedi has brought it alive beautifully with his music. Ajay Bijli Sir has added so much charm with his effortless rendition and conviction. I look forward to audience's reception and hopefully for it to be played across weddings soon. I have come for this and maine apni jagah bana li hai, Rasika looked back at the period when her work started becoming more consistent. Talking about that phase, Rasika said, From the time work became more continuous, it was between 2016-17. I moved from FTII in 2006, so it was a good 10 years later. There was always stuff in between to encourage me and keep me alive, but that was not so known as the work I did after 2016. Rasika also recalled some of the projects that came before this more consistent phase, including films such as Qissa and Kshay, which gave her the opportunity to work with some of the finest talent in the industry. However, she explained that the period after 2016 brought a significant shift, with several projects coming her way back-to-back. It was after 2016 that work like Manto, Mirzapur and Delhi Crime, and a couple of other works, started happening back to back. And largely because streaming platforms started coming out. Then I felt something like that it was a movement, she shared. Rasikas journey has seen her move across films, series and varied characters, gradually becoming known for choosing diverse and layered roles. Her work in projects such as Manto, Mirzapur and Delhi Crime further established her as an actor capable of moving seamlessly between different worlds and characters. It is this distinctive body of work that prompted Neha to describe Rasika as having become a genre of her own. Beyond her professional journey, the episode also offered a glimpse into Rasika and Mukuls relationship and their life together. The couple spoke candidly about their struggles, their college days and their experiences through different phases of their relationship. In one of the lighter and more heartwarming moments of the episode, Rasika and Mukul also adopted a pet, adding a personal and unexpected dimension to their double date. The episode brought together the professional and personal sides of Rasika Dugal, from reflecting on the decade-long journey after FTII to finding a more consistent space for herself in the industry, and from discussing the evolution of her work to sharing everyday moments with Mukul. Their conversation on Double Date offered an honest glimpse into the journey behind the actor audiences have come to recognise today. Zee TV has announced the return of the OG music reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, at a media press conference in Mumbai, unveiling a new season that brings to life Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthan, a world dedicated to the celebration of music and giving media a first glimpse into Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 through a Virtual Reality experience showcasing its spectacular new set. The show premieres on September 19 2026, every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 PM on Zee TV and Hindi Zee5. Celebrating nearly three decades of a legacy built on music and talent, the new season takes the experience beyond a conventional singing reality show with a spectacular 360 stage, 100+ musicians and an expansive chorus ensemble, creating the scale and energy of a live concert on television, while bringing the richness of Indian musical traditions to the forefront. For nearly three decades, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has remained a trusted platform for discovering, nurturing and celebrating musical talent. What has made the property endure is its unwavering focus on real music and authentic voices, even as the format has evolved with changing audiences. This season celebrates the tradition of music from different parts of the country through mesmerising performances, creating a richer expression of Indian music while staying true to its soul. The season brings together a stellar quartet of Shankar Mahadevan, Kumar Sanu, Neeti Mohan and Javed Ali as its musical Gurus, bringing decades of experience across diverse musical journeys to the stage. Their role extends beyond evaluating performances, as they share their knowledge and perspective with the contestants through the course of the competition. Actor Shreyas Talpade will host the season, adding another familiar face to this celebration of music. Speaking about the new season, Ragahvendra Hunsur, Chief Content Officer, ZEEL, said, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is the oldest promise Zee has made to India. For nearly three decades, this franchise has stood for authentic music and real talent, and in that time it has done something no platform and no algorithm can replicate: it has let Indian music recognize its own. At Zee, we believe an iconic property must constantly evolve and reinvent itself while staying true to what makes it special. We don't rent relevance, we grow institutions. This season, we wanted to go beyond creating another singing reality show and build a complete world dedicated to music. A new generation of contestants, rooted and real, guided by exceptional musical Gurus who nurture and shape their journeys. A hundred-piece orchestra that lets every voice sound as large as its dream. With the richness and diversity of Indian music at its heart, the season brings together the scale, musicianship and grandeur this art form has always deserved, because we believe rawness and grandeur are not opposites. That is the vision behind 'Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthan', a season where the artist, the musician and the music itself take centre stage. This is not just where singers are discovered. It is where Indian music comes home. Speaking about the new season, Mangesh Kulkarni, Chief Channel Officer, Zee TV, said, Zee TV today stands as the undisputed leader in prime time, home to the top three shows in the Hindi GEC space. This success is a testament to the immense love of our viewers and the responsibility that comes with earning their trust. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa carries a legacy spanning more than three decades. As we bring this iconic franchise back, we have reimagined it on a scale truly befitting its stature, while preserving the essence that has made it India's most loved singing platform. We recognize the expectations that come with reviving a legacy as celebrated as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. This season, our endeavour is not just to meet those expectations, but to surpass them. From a spectacular stage and an immersive live concert experience to over 100 musicians performing live and a judging panel comprising some of the industry's most respected musical stalwarts, every element has been crafted to elevate the experience like never before. Yet, at its heart, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa remains what it has always been: a platform where talent speaks for itself, where dreams find a voice, and where music takes centre stage. That is why Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is, and will always remain, Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthaan. Speaking about the new season, Kaveri Das, Business Head Hindi Zee 5 & Chief Channel Officer, &TV, said, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is the crown jewel of Zees non-fiction portfolio and one of the most loved music franchises in Indian entertainment. Its legacy has been built over decades on authenticity and an unwavering commitment to discovering exceptional talent. With every season, the franchise has challenged itself to raise the bar, and this year is no exception. From its grand scale and expert musical mentors to the incredible talent on stage, every element of the show has been crafted to deliver its most elevated experience yet. As audiences continue to seek premium, meaningful and culturally resonant entertainment, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa remains in a league of its own, and we are confident that this season will further reinforce its position as Indias most loved and definitive music reality franchise. At Hindi Zee 5, we are privileged to be the digital home of the iconic show, that has inspired generations of music lovers. As Sa Re Ga Ma Pa returns in its grandest avatar yet, we are excited to bring audiences a season that not only celebrates the legacy of Indian music but also redefines the scale and ambition of music reality entertainment Sa Re Ga Ma Pa premieres on September 19, 2026, every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 PM, only on Zee TV and Hindi Zee 5.
