Study Finds Longer Survival Among Kidney Cancer Patients Taking Antidepressants
Patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma who took antidepressants while receiving first-line targeted therapy lived longer on average than those who did not, according to a multicenter retrospective study. However, the researchers said the findings do not show that antidepressants improve cancer survival and should not be used to justify prescribing them as a cancer treatment.
