NMDC looks to hit 60 MT iron ore production mark this fiscal: Chairman

NMDC is working on strategies to achieve the 60 MT iron ore production mark this fiscal to meet growing demand from domestic steelmakers for the key raw material, its Chairman Amitava Mukherjee said. RBI absorbs 3.93 trillion from banking system through VRRR auction

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday absorbed Rs 3,93,352 crore through variable rate reverse repo (VRRR) auction amid huge surplus liquidity in the banking system. Finance Ministry notifies norms allowing e-commerce firms to maintain inventory only for exports

The Department of Economic Affairs under the finance ministry has notified changes in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) norms to allow e-commerce firms to maintain inventory only for export purposes. These firms will have to export goods manufactured or produced in India. Also, FDI in inventory-based e-commerce retailing has not been permitted. The department in a September 2 notification has added a provision in this regard in the Foreign Exchange Management (Non-debt Instruments) Rules, 2019.
