46,491 people treated for drug addiction in J&K in 2025-26: Rajya Sabha told

Srinagar, Aug 12: The number of people treated for drug addiction at centres supported by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in Jammu and Kashmir rose to 46,491 in 2025-26, the highest annual figure recorded in the last five years, according to data tabled in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. Dog scare grips Kotranka, around dozen people attacked

Student shoots multiple people at a high school in Thailand, authorities say

Bangkok, Aug 07: Police were responding to a shooting Friday at a high school in Thailand's Nonthaburi province where deaths and injuries were reported. Assam flood situation grim; 1.6 lakh people affected, toll reaches 95

Fourteen districts and 1.6 lakh people were affected by floods in Assam while the death toll rose to 95 with six more deaths, officials said on Thursday.
