Kuche7 donates 500 saplings as part of its environmental commitment

Solapur, Maharashtra, September 23: Prominent kitchen brand Kuche7s team visited Solapur, Maharashtra, to plant 500 mango saplings as part of their environment conservation initiative titled Planting a better future. They arranged for a tree plantation drive in Solapur, Maharashtra. The company announced this initiative on its social media handles a couple of days ago. We believe that it is our social responsibility to take action for the environment and plant as many saplings as possible to ensure a greener tomorrow, said Mr. NaeemChauhan, Managing Director of Kuche7. Kuche7 team traveled to the land of Kundlik Ram Kumbhar, a farmer in Solapur, to plant the saplings. The local farmers have struggled to get the raw materials for good produce. We were already enduring massive financial problems. The pandemic pushed us further back. We are thankful to the Kuche7 team. They have given us enough saplings to plant on our land, said Kundlik Ram Kumbhar, the local farmer. He also lauded the team for the timely delivery of the saplings. At Kuche7 we have always been positive about conserving the environment and saving crucial resources for future generations. Which is why we have set out to do this immediately after the 75th Independence day celebrations, said Krupali, a member of the Kuche7 design team. 15 members of the Kuche7 team traveled from Mumbai to Solapur for the tree plantation drive. Environment experts from SankalpTaru guided them. They spread around the plot in pairs to plant mango saplings. With the required maintenance and favourable climate, mango saplings will grow into fruit-bearing trees in five to eight years, said Mr. Kumbhar. Mr. NaeemChauhan hopes that this drive will also benefit the local farmers. They (farmers) play a crucial role in sustaining the country's economy by producing and distributing edibles. At the same time, they also suffer ecological and economic consequences, he said. Kuche7 promotes sustainable development and healthy living through its brand. On their official page, Kuche7 highlighted that their products are 100% eco-friendly. The company endorses stainless steel as a raw material because of its various advantages: durability, water-proof, fire-resistant, termite-resistant, and hygienic nature. We already save 3 trees with every stainless steel kitchen manufactured. Furthermore, the team is working on more ideas for environmental conservation. It is a passion for the team. Every member who participated in this tree plantation drive is enthusiastic, said Rohit Singh, Head of the Kuche7 marketing team. Kuche7 always believed in sustainable development. Our research and development team kept that in mind while developing different ideas and designs, said Mr. Chauhan. Kuche7 is recognized as India's most distinguished stainless steel modular kitchen brand. 5G services to be commenced on 1 October by PM Modi

In NEW DELHI: On Saturday, the National Broadband Mission (NBM), a division of the Ministry of Communications, tweeted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would launch 5G services in India on October 1 in conjunction with the opening of the India Mobile Congress (IMC). However, the tweet disappeared within minutes from the National Broadband Mission handle on the micro-blogging platform. The tweet's screenshot says that the Taking India's digital transformation & connectivity to new heights, Hon'ble PM, @narendramodi, will roll out 5G services in India; at India Mobile Congress; Asia's largest technological exhibition. Industry sources claim that the nation may not be ready to launch 5G services on October 1 and may need a few extra days to implement the new technology. The Prime Minister announced that 5G services would soon be introduced in India during his Independence Day speech from the Red Fort's ramparts. The sixth edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC), jointly organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), will take place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from October 1-4. Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of information technology, stated last month that the government anticipates the rollout of 5G services in the nation by October 12 and that the Center will ensure that the rates are reasonable for customers. Vaishnaw said that installations are being done and telecom operations are busy with the seamless rollout of 5G services. The minister promised that the government would make sure that 5G plans remained within the reach of the general public. 13 cities are probably going to get 5G internet services during the first phase of the service's progressive rollout. Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune are the cities in question. Telcos will soon release specific 5G pricing plans, much like they did for 3G and 4G, and experts in the field predict that users may pay extra to use 5G services on their devices. It is unlikely that the introduction of 5G will spark an instant tariff war, but it will be competitive since India continues to be a price-conscious market. 5G to benefit Indian economy by Rs36.4 trillion: GSMA Indian Cos to adopt new payment security standard in 5G era

Savarkar photo in Bharat Jodo Yatra banner leaves Congress embarrassed in Kerala

Controversy According to reports, Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) Chengamanad Zonal President Suresh has been suspended in this regard. TNM Staff Twitter/mallucomrade A VD Savarkar picture on a banner of freedom fighters put up at Athani near Chengamanad in Ernakulam District as part of the Congress partys Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi ran into a controversy on Wednesday. The party leadership intervened and tried to hide the Savarkar photograph with a picture of Mahatma Gandhi, but the damage was already done as a video of the Savarkar picture being replaced went viral. According to reports, Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) Chengamanad Mandalam President Suresh has been suspended in this regard. The video of Savarkar picture being replaced by that of Mahatma was shared by Nilambur MLA PV Anvar, who won the election with the support of the Left Democratic Front (LDF). When called out over VD Savarkar's photo appearing on Bharat Jodo Yatras banner, the Muslim Leage tried to spread the narrative that it was from Karnataka, where the BJP had installed the poster for Independence Day celebrations. But the poster is from Kerala, not from Karnataka. The Congress has corrected its mistake by covering Savarkar's image with that of Mahatma Gandhis, the MLA wrote on Facebook. Ernakulam DCC President Mohammed Shiyas told Media One that the error happened because an ordinary party worker had downloaded a set of images from the Internet while creating a banner of freedom fighters. Shiyas said they did not remove the entire banner considering the money spent on it. All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Jairam Ramesh while reacting to the incident said: It is ironic that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) should be asking this question because the party allied with the forces of Hindutva to install Mr VP Singh as the Prime Minister in December of 1989. It was an alliance of the CPI(M) and the BJP which ensured that VP Singh replaced Rajiv Gandhi as the Prime Minister. Recently, a similar controversy had erupted when the umbrellas exhibited in Keralas Thrissur Pooram were printed with Savarkars pictures. (With IANS inputs)

Raju Shrivastava: A versatile actor and comedian

Raju Srivastava, a stand-up comedian who made millions of people laugh with his unintentionally funny observations of people and their quirks and who passed away on Wednesday morning, was from a small town in north India. He was 58. On August 10, Kanpur-native Srivastava had a heart attack in the midst of his morning workout in a gym. The actor passed out while using a treadmill and was taken to AIIMS where he underwent an angioplasty and struggled with complications for 42 days. He was in the ICU, still in critical condition. At least 25 movies feature Srivastava as an actor. But he was most happy on stage and in front of the camera. He was one of the first stand-up comedians to achieve fame. Srivastava was a versatile performer who cracked jokes, imitated famous people and regular people, danced without inhibition, and turned banal events into lively social commentary. His stories and witticism frequently brought back memories and visuals from the environment he grew up in. Although Srivastava occasionally performed burlesque, his jabs were never vicious. He was also an expert at building a connection with the audience. He was referred to by his fans as Gajodhar bhaiya, a role he played. On the television show The Great Laughter Challenge (2005), Srivastava performed one of his best-remembered pieces in which he acted out how various members of a girl's family behave at a wedding. His funny-face persona, which encapsulated witty lines, impeccable comic timing, and hilarious acting, were all present in the skit. There are dozens of these videos on YouTube, some of which have received over 20 million views. Satyaprakash Srivastava, the actor, was born into a middle-class family to a poet father. Even as a young child, he could mimic well. When he was in school, Raju would copy his teachers and emulate Indira Gandhi, Dilip Kumar, and Om Prakash. In addition to being invited to commentate local cricket tournaments, he enjoyed taking part in Independence Day cultural events, according to businessman and friend Gyanesh Mishra. Later, he would also perform a superb impersonation of Amitabh Bachchan, which never failed to elicit gasps of amusement. In Mumbai, Srivastava was cast in supporting roles in blockbusters like Baazigar (1989) and Maine Pyaar Kiya (1993). He demonstrated some of his talent in the song-based dialogue he performed with Govinda in Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya (2001). As time went on, he was cast in more substantial roles in movies like Journey Bombay to Goa: Laughter Unlimited (2007). However, the actor's full comic range only became apparent on television, in the films Raju Haazir Ho (2008) and The Great Laughter Challenge (2005), as well as in the hundreds of live performances he gave on stage both in India and abroad. He also participated in Season 3 of Bigg Boss. Mishra also disclosed that the actor frequently helped the less fortunate. He provided financial assistance to two girls whose parents had died from Covid-19. Every time he visited Kanpur, he would help the sick, the man recalled. The Samajwadi Party offered Srivastava a ticket to run in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He joined the BJP after returning the ticket. He served as the current chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council. His passing was lamented widely on social media. Numerous prominent members of the BJP, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and actor Hrithik Roshan, posted their condolences and tributes on social media. Raju Srivastava brought joy, humour, and optimism into our lives. He leaves us too soon, but because of his prolific work over the years, he will live on in the hearts of countless people. It is sad that he has died. My sympathies go out to his family and supporters, Modi tweeted. TRS govt, Cong, MIM set to celebrate Telangana Integration Day on September 17

Politics The TRS government in Telangana had earlier rejected demands by BJP for officially celebrating the day in view of the reservations of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen and other Muslim groups. TNM Staff Telangana is gearing up to celebrate September 17, which marks the anniversary of accession of erstwhile Hyderabad state with the Indian Union, as Telangana National Integration Day. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will hoist the national flag at the Public Gardens on September 17 as part of the celebrations. The state cabinet has announced year-long celebrations this year as diamond jubilee year of Hyderabad liberation. The announcement made by KCR to celebrate the day seems to have taken the sheen off the plans by the Bharatiya Janata Party to derive political mileage out of the TRS partys reluctance for official celebrations. Though the BJP has been celebrating Telangana Liberation Day and regularly demanded that the state announce official celebrations to mark the day, it is for the first time since the formation of Telangana that September 17 will witness state celebrations. KCR is also scheduled to inaugurate the Komaram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan and Sevalal Banjara Bhavan on the same day. The three-day celebrations as part of the event will begin on September 16. A rally will be taken out from the Necklace Road in which artists, performing around 30 different art forms like Gussadi, Gond and Lambadi dance, will participate. Later, the Chief Minister is scheduled to address a public meeting. Earlier last week, Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar held a meeting with officials and reviewed the arrangements for the celebration and directed the officials to ensure the programme is a grand success. The Chief Secretary has also directed that mass rallies with students, youth and women should be held in all Assembly constituencies on September 16. Similarly, cultural programmes should be held in all district headquarters on September 18.The Chief Minister will also hoist the national flag on the occasion. On September 17, 1948, the erstwhile Hyderabad state was merged with the Indian Union following India's military action 'Operation Polo', popularly known as 'police action'. Like the previous governments of Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in undivided Andhra Pradesh, the TRS government in Telangana had rejected demands for officially celebrating the day in view of the reservations of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and other Muslim groups, who maintain that Muslims were massacred during the 'police action'. TRS, Congress and other parties used to celebrate September 17 every year as 'Telangana Merger Day' by hoisting the national flag and paying tributes to freedom fighters. However, this year, the Congress too has elaborate plans. Congress partys plans The Congress in Telangana had announced that they will be introducing a separate Telangana state flag on the occasion of the 75th Hyderabad integration day. The national flag and the new state flag will be hoisted by the Telangana Congress Chief. Congress will also introduce a new Telangana thalli (Mother Telangana), that will reflect the sentiments of all sections of people in Telangana. INC will reject the Telangana thalli that was created by TRS, said an official release. Telangana thalli is a personification similar to Bharat Mata. The Congress has announced that the party will also organise year-long celebrations as part of the National Integration Day. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Revanth Reddy has said that the new state flag will be hoisted in all Telangana villages along with the Tricolour on September 17. BJP had been demanding for decades that the day be officially celebrated like it is being done in some districts of Maharashtra and Karnataka, which were part of the erstwhile Hyderabad state. Being an emotive issue with the potential for communal polarisation, the BJP has been aggressively pushing for official celebrations. At every public meeting, Amit Shah and other Central leaders of the BJP have been attacking KCR for not celebrating September 17 officially due to 'fear of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Interestingly, the cabinet decision came a couple of hours after AIMIM, a friendly party of TRS, demanded that September 17 be celebrated as national integration day. AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaiis wrote to both Amit Shah and KCR, with the suggestion. AIMIM partys plans On the occasion of National Integration Day, for the first time in its history, the AIMIM is organising a motorcycle Tiranga Rally on Friday, September 16. This will be followed by a public meeting and a flag hoisting programme. AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi along with party legislators and religious scholars will attend the programme. The Tiranga rally organised by AIMIM will start from Mir Alam Eidgah in Tadban and the public meeting will be held at Teegalakunta. AIMIM had always maintained that there is only one Independence Day for the entire country and hence there is no need for separate celebrations in Telangana. Owaisi also argued in his letters to both Amit Shah and KCR that Hindus and Muslims were advocates of a united India under a democratic, secular and republican government. This is also reflected in the Sunderlal Committee report. The Committee was appointed by the Government of India to report on the situation after the merger of Hyderabad. The Committee found that mass violence was committed against common Muslims living in these territories. Owaisi attached a report of the committee with his letter.
