Thirupparankundram lamp lighting row: Madras HC upholds order allowing Karthigai Deepam on 'Deepathoon'

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has affirmed a single judge's decision, allowing the Subramaniya Swamy temple to light the Karthigai Deepam at the Thiruparankundram hill's Deepathoon. This ruling permits the continuation of the traditional practice at the hilltop stone pillar, alongside other customary spots, dismissing prior objections and ensuring the festival's heritage is preserved.
