Initial CCI probe finds 28 steel companies including Tata Steel, JSW Steel & SAIL flouting rules

An initial probe by the Competition Commission of India found 28 steel companies, including Tata Steel and JSW Steel, violated antitrust rules. These companies allegedly colluded over pricing between 2015 and 2023. Top executives were also held liable. The probe followed a court order. The CCI is yet to finalize its order. Companies have refuted the allegations.
