Anant Joshi thinks he has now become more Parsi': Delnaaz Irani on Chumbak costar

Delnaaz Irani opens up about playing Gulshan Tarapurwala, an overbearing Parsi mother, in Netflixs Chumbak. Speaking to Mid-Day, the actor reveals filmmaker Aatish Kapadia wrote the role keeping her in mind and recalls preparing for her audition by wearing old clothes from her cupboard. Irani says she initially avoided Parsi characters because they were often reduced to caricatures, but embraced Chumbak for its fuller portrayal of a Parsi family and its distinctive quirks.
