UIDAI to increase adoption of mandatory biometric update among kids using behavioural insights

Once enrolled in Aadhaar, a child needs to update biometric on attaining the age of 5 and again at the age of 15. UIDAI has waived off all charges for MBU for the 7-15 age group, benefitting around six crore children
