Survey begins to check if 39 govt schemes reach vulnerable tribes

The Centre will launch its first Individual Entitlement Survey covering 10 lakh households from particularly vulnerable tribal groups to assess whether benefits from 39 central schemes are reaching them. The exercise, to be carried out by states across 1,000 PVTG-dominated blocks, will map gaps in coverage among nearly 48 lakh people from 75 recognised groups.
