Bombay high court sets aside as 'illegal' DGCA's 2011 suspension of pilot's license

The Bombay High Court has quashed a 2011 DGCA order that grounded Air India pilot Jitendra Varma, deeming it illegal and unsustainable. The court restored Varma's ATPL license, stating he was denied a proper hearing and the principles of natural justice were flouted. The DGCA has been given two months to conduct a fresh inquiry following proper procedures.
