A school principal and a student were killed in a road accident in Barmer in Rajasthan. The bus collided with a parked dumper truck on the roadside. The bus was carrying 24 girl students from a government school and four others. The accident occurred while they were returning from a tournament. 20 people were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

Six youths were swept away in the Chambal River in Dholpur, Rajasthan. Three of them were rescued after holding onto a cable dangling from a bridge. Two constables conducted the rescue operation and saved the stranded trio. The search and rescue efforts are ongoing to locate and recover the three missing youths. The operation was halted due to darkness and will resume the next morning. The strong flow of water in the river and darkness are posing challenges to the rescue teams.
The state government of Jaipur has suspended the mayor of Jaipur Municipal Corporation Heritage, Munesh Gurjar, for her alleged involvement in a bribery case. Gurjar's husband was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh for issuing a land deed. After an investigation found Gurjar's role in the case, a notice was issued to her seeking her response, which was found unsatisfactory.
