A solid gold toilet is up for auction. Starting price: $10 million

Sotheby's will auction Maurizio Cattelan's solid gold toilet sculpture, America, with a starting bid reflecting its gold value of approximately $10 million. This functional artwork, satirizing excessive wealth, was previously displayed at the Guggenheim and infamously stolen from Blenheim Palace. The piece, valued for both its material and concept, will be exhibited at Sotheby's New York before the sale.
