Aurangabad court awards 11-year RI to man in drug seizure case

In a significant ruling, Istkhar Alam has received an 11-year sentence alongside a hefty fine of Rs 1 lakh from an Aurangabad court for the possession of nearly 11 kg of opium. His trial concluded promptly following his arrest in April 2025, marking this as the tenth case related to the NDPS Act in the district for the year.
