The journey of Orry aka Orhan Awatramani on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 may have hit an unexpected roadblock. The internet media personality, who has been participating in the stunt-based reality show and taking on a series of challenges, has seemingly hinted at an emotional exit following an injury sustained during a task. Orry recently shared a video on his Instagram Stories in which he appeared to be helped by others after getting injured during a challenge. Alongside the video, he posted an emotional message reflecting on his stint on the show and his attempt to complete the task. Sharing the update, Orry wrote, I gave it my all guys and I am sorry I dont have more in me to give. Really wanted to do this for us all and for me. I never wanted to give up and I never aborted. I really did try but sometimes you have to accept defeat. His message suggested that he had pushed himself during the challenge but was unable to continue. Orry also appeared to indicate that his health would take precedence over his participation in the show. He added, Health always comes before everything. Wishing everyone the best. The post has since led to speculation about whether the injury could mark the end of Orrys stint on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. While his choice of words, particularly his reference to accepting defeat and not having more to give, has left fans wondering if he has been forced to step away, Orry has not explicitly confirmed his exit from the show. Orrys participation in Khatron Ke Khiladi has also been closely followed by viewers, with the internet personality taking on physical challenges as part of his stint on the reality show. His latest update has therefore added an emotional turn to his journey. The stunt-based format requires contestants to take on physically demanding tasks involving heights, speed, animals and other challenges under the supervision of host Rohit Shetty. Injuries are an inherent risk of such tasks, and contestants can sometimes be required to withdraw depending on their condition. For now, Orrys Instagram post remains the only indication that his journey may have been affected by the injury. Whether the message signals a temporary setback or his departure from Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 is yet to be officially clarified. Until there is a confirmation from Orry or the makers of the show, his status in the competition remains unclear. More than a decade after the release of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, the character of Naina Talwar as Deepika Padukone has once again found herself in the spotlight. The Academys official social media handle recently shared a video featuring one of Nainas memorable dialogues from the 2013 film, bringing the character back into conversations around the popular Hindi romantic drama. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani featured Deepika Padukone as Naina Talwar, a shy and introverted medical student whose journey through friendship, love and self-discovery formed an important part of the narrative. The film also starred Ranbir Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur in key roles. The Academys social media post focused on one of Nainas dialogues, offering a fresh reminder of the character more than 13 years after the films theatrical release. Nainas transformation from a reserved student to a more confident woman remains one of the defining elements of the film. The characters story explored themes of friendship, unrequited love and personal growth. Naina first meets Kabir Bunny Thapar, played by Ranbir Kapoor, during a trekking trip with their former classmates. She develops feelings for him but chooses not to express them. The two eventually lose touch before reconnecting at the wedding of their mutual friend Aditi Mehra. View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Academy (@theacademy) Deepikas portrayal of Naina became closely associated with the characters understated personality and gradual evolution. Her appearance, including Nainas signature glasses and reserved demeanour in the early portions of the film, also became recognisable elements of the role. The Academys latest social media post has once again brought attention to the character and the film, which continues to have a presence in popular culture years after its release. Nainas journey, particularly her movement from insecurity towards self-assurance, remains a key reason the character continues to resonate with viewers. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, also known as YJHD, was released in 2013 and marked the second collaboration between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone after Bachna Ae Haseeno. The film was written by Ayan Mukerji and Hussain Dalal and produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions. The ensemble cast also included Kunaal Roy Kapur, Evelyn Sharma, Farooq Sheikh, Tanvi Azmi and Dolly Ahluwalia, among others. The film combined its coming-of-age narrative with themes of relationships, ambition and choosing ones own path. With The Academy revisiting one of Naina Talwars dialogues, the character has once again become part of the ongoing conversation around Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and its lasting recall among audiences. 5 Reasons why Chitrangda Singh continues to be one of Bollywoods most versatile actors
Chitrangda Singh has built a filmography that does not lend itself easily to a single description. Over the years, the actor has moved between emotionally layered dramas, mainstream entertainers and streaming projects, often choosing characters that offer a different challenge from her previous work. From Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Inkaar to Baazaar, Bob Biswas and her more recent projects, Chitrangda has explored varied characters and storytelling formats. Here are five reasons why her career continues to reflect that versatility. 1. She can transform into completely different characters One of Chitrangdas strengths has been her ability to approach characters with contrasting personalities. As Geeta Rao in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, she portrayed an idealistic young woman navigating personal and political upheaval. Years later, her role as Gayatri in Inkaar presented a very different persona. Her performance as Meeta in Desi Boyz further demonstrated her ability to work within a commercial entertainer while bringing emotional depth to her character. 2. She has taken on morally complicated women Chitrangda has also gravitated towards characters who cannot be easily categorised as simply good or bad. In Baazaar, she played Seema, a character with an assured and morally complex edge. She entered a darker and more grounded world with Bob Biswas, where she portrayed Mary Biswas. These roles allowed the actor to explore characters driven by conflicting emotions and circumstances rather than straightforward motivations. 3. She moves between commercial films, arthouse stories and OTT Chitrangdas filmography spans different formats and scales. She has been part of a mainstream franchise with Housefull 5 while also exploring a more intimate cinematic space with Parikrama. Her work in Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders further places her within the OTT thriller space, demonstrating her willingness to work across mediums and storytelling styles rather than remaining confined to conventional theatrical roles. 4. She relies on restraint to make an impact Chitrangdas performances often use controlled expressions rather than relying entirely on overt dramatic moments. In Inkaar, her portrayal of Maya Luthra derives much of its impact from the characters composure and confidence. Similarly, in Gabbar Is Back, she showcased an entirely different side with Aao Raja, delivering a sensual and striking dance performance that became one of the films most popular songs and earned her widespread praise. 5. Her career has focused on evolution rather than repetition From Geeta in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Gayatri in Inkaar to Mary in Bob Biswas and her more recent work, Chitrangda has continued to experiment with different kinds of roles. Rather than relying on one particular image or repeating a character template that has worked before, her choices have taken her across genres, formats and tonalities. That willingness to explore different facets of her craft remains one of the defining aspects of Chitrangda Singhs career. Toxic BO Day 5 [LIVE]: Yash, Kiara Advani film nears Rs 200 crore India net
Akshay Oberois big-budget film, Toxic, finally released in cinemas on August 26. At the films trailer launch, held in Bengaluru on August 8, the actor was seen sporting long hair. However, of late, he has gone back to a short haircut. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Akshay revealed the reason behind the change in look and spoke about his upcoming projects and a lot more. Akshay Oberoi said, I had signed up for a lovely period film. Its set in a village during the pre-Partition era. I really loved the script. The character required me to have hair like that; he belongs to a tribe whose members have had long hair for generations. I loved the script so much that I immediately started growing my hair. I was clear that I didnt want to wear a wig. But for some reason, the films funding fell through. It was heartbreaking for all of us. But maybe itll happen one day. Meanwhile, season 4 of Aashram is coming. Hence, I cut my hair and Im off to shoot for it. When does the much-watched web series fourth season go on floors? Akshay replied, I believe Aashram went on floors just a few days back and I am joining very soon, early next week. After Toxic, Akshay Oberoi is now looking forward to another biggie, King, co-starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan. It releases on December 24. Interestingly, King would be his third Christmas release, the other two being his debut film Isi Life Mein (2010) and Kisko Tha Pata (2024). When pointed out, Akshay was pleasantly surprised. He said, Oh yes. My debut film came on Christmas. I had forgotten that Kisko Tha Pata also released on December 24. And now King is also coming on the same day! Aamir Khan has had the most Christmas releases, and Akshay Oberoi seems to be following in his footsteps. The actor laughed out loud and remarked, Oh, I love it. This is too good! What a comparison, man. Ill take it! He then stated, Thanks for pointing it out. Its so interesting. I would have definitely not made that connection because these are two different times in my career, as in when I did the first film vis--vis where I am right now. Its funny and interesting to see the whole journey full circle like that. Moreover, King is a film with Siddharth Anand. Its my second film with him (after Fighter; 2024) and my third project with him (the web series Flesh was written by Siddharth Anand). Hes the one who put me on a map for the mainstream audience. In life, so many coincidences take place that you have to believe in a higher power and accept that we are not in control. When asked about King, Akshay Oberoi said, All I can say is that Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand are like family to me. I got to reunite with my family, that too on their biggest film. Until my last breath, Ill repay in whatever way possible for what they have given me. I love them as human beings. I have done a small part, in whatever way I could, to be a part of this humongous, highly anticipated film that my brother and mentor, Lord Siddharth Anand, has made. And hes indeed a Lord! He added, I badly wanted to be in this film because I wanted to be a part of this big thing that someone I love was making. In between Toxic and King, Akshay Oberois film, Love Lottery, will release in cinemas on September 18. The teaser features his emotional voiceover and leaves an impact. Akshay Oberoi revealed, Its a part of a monologue which goes on for 6 minutes. Its a small film; there was not much of a budget. So, I had to nail that monologue fast. You saw a glimpse of that in the teaser; youll hear more of it in the trailer, which comes out soon. Love Lottery seems to be very topical and relevant. Akshay agreed, Indeed. When I read the script, I told myself, I dont know what the fate of the film would be. However, I want to be a part of it because it deals with a burning topic. I am all for women empowerment. Men have done a lot of s**t. But now we are in a place where men also need a voice. There should be someone who speaks about mens rights. I guess thats why these masculine films are also doing well. Hence, this is an attempt to do something different. The character that I play is a very vulnerable hero. As the tagline says in the poster, hes a man framed by love. The caption is so apt. For Parineeti and Raghav Chadha, this Raksha Bandhan was also significant as their son Neer received his first Rakhi. The Dil Chahta Hai Reunion happened on August 28 at a suburban hotel in Mumbai. It was organized by Amazon Music and We Are Yuva. The event saw almost the entire team of the film Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Dimpla Kapadia, Sonali Kulkarni, Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Javed Akhtar, Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa get nostalgic on its 25 iconic years. One of the funniest aspects about Dil Chahta Hai was the character Subodh and his obsession with time tables and punctuality. However, in recent times on social media, fans have started expressing their admiration for Subodh with some also referring to him as a Green Flag. The character was the boyfriend of Sonali Kulkarnis Pooja. Interestingly, Subodh was played by Farhan Akhtars friend Asad Dadarkar, who is like the same person in real life. When Subodhs topic was introduced during the conversation at the reunion, Sonali Kularni said, I think Subodh added a fantastic flavour to the whole relationship. Having said that, Subodh, is Farhans dear friend. He didnt actually act. I remember he was like that (in real life too). He came on the set and he said, Its 9 Oclock, I will start shooting. The last sentence sent a wave of laughter among the crowd. To this, Farhan joked saying, Actually, we had invited him to come for this event. He was here at 6 (pm) but then he left as it didnt start (on time). Dil Chahta Hai eventually saw Saif Ali Khans character Sameer falling for Pooja and the two becoming a couple. The host asked Saif what he thought of Subodh. The actor said, Oh, he is a great guy, much to the laughter of the crowd. He added, I felt very bad making fun of him. But thats the job. Directed by Farhan Akhtar and produced under the banner of Excel Entertainment, Dil Chahta Hai also featured Preity Zinta and Akshaye Khanna. The two actors couldnt attend the reunion. Komal Nahta had a conversation with Adnan Sami, during which the latter spoke strongly against the growing trend of remixed songs. Adnan Sami began by saying, It is always lovely to revive an old song. In my opinion, the ratio should be 80-20, with 20 being the remixed songs. Thats how it was before. But now, its 20-80 (laughs)! Adnan then stated, One word that would define this is khauff. The corporates are scared to experiment. It is happening even in cinemas. Remakes are attempted, sequels are made; even prequels are planned! Off-shoots bhi chal rahe hain. First, they made Batman. When they exhausted that character, they decided Joker banate hai! You see, these are all very safe subjects. The Odyssey recently released; pehli dafa toh yeh nahin ban rahi hai na? He added, Even in our cinema, franchises are made as they are safe. Earlier, such things were very rare. Star Wars and The Godfather had sequels. But this was not a regular thing. The same is happening in music. They come across a super-hit song from the 70s, 80s or 90s. They know its a sure-shot success. So, they decide Mukhda wohi rakh dena, antara change kar dena! Adnan Sami continued, When you ask record labels that aap yeh (remix) kyun kar rahe hain, they reply, Because public chahti hai (smiles). However, the thing is that if a man is hungry and you present him with sookhe chawal, toh woh uspe toot padega. And if you ask someone why you are feeding him sookhe chawal, hed reply Yehi toh woh chahta hai. Dekho kitne maze se woh kha raha hai! But hes savouring it as you didnt serve him khichdi or biryani. Adnan Sami opined, What saddens me is that every generation call certain songs their own. My father used to say Dheere Se Aaja Ri Ankhiyan Mein mere waqt ka gaana hai. I would feel the same for Chura Liya Hai. The ones who grew up in the 90s would feel a sense of belonging for the songs of say, Aashiqui (1990). But which song would this generation consider their own? After all, you have mostly presented recreated versions to them. He also said, We often blame music composers for remixes. But the reality is that those poor music directors are asked to come up with recreated versions. Kya woh dil se bana rahe hain? I can give you in writing that no music director ever dreamed as a child that he would grow up and work on remixes. So, dont blame them; blame those who zabardasti make them do it.
