Businessman-turned-actor Raj Kundra has opened up about one of the most difficult phases of his life, recalling an emotional breakdown he experienced while he was in jail in 2021. Kundra, who is married to actor Shilpa Shetty, was arrested over allegations related to the creation and distribution of pornographic films and was granted bail in September that year. Years after his arrest, Raj spoke about how reports suggesting that Shilpa was planning to divorce him deeply affected him while he was behind bars. Recalling the period, he said he was already struggling to deal with his circumstances when he came across reports about the state of his marriage. Speaking to ABP, Raj said, Bohot tootha hoon, I was managing. One day, news came through the media; as I later found out, Shilpa Shetty Raj Kundra ko chodd rahi hai, divorce de rahi hai. According to Raj, the reports left him devastated. He said he could not sleep that night and began questioning the purpose of his life. Describing the intensity of his emotional state, he revealed that his family and wife meant everything to him and admitted, Genuinely felt like suicide kar du. The situation reportedly changed the next day when Raj got an opportunity to speak to Shilpa over the phone. He said she immediately reassured him that the reports were untrue and told him that she was with him and trusted him. Her response helped him cope with the situation at a particularly difficult time. Raj also recalled the challenging conditions he faced during his 63 days at Arthur Road Jail. He described the food as difficult to eat and said that he largely survived on Parle-G biscuits and water during his time there. Reflecting on the physical impact of his imprisonment, Raj claimed that he lost around 17-18 kilos during his stay in jail. His latest revelations offer a glimpse into the emotional and personal struggles he says he experienced during one of the most difficult chapters of his life. Karisma Kapoor and choreographer Geeta Kapur recently revisited their long-standing association during an episode of Indias Best Dancer Season 5. The two shared memories from the early days of their careers, including their first meeting on the sets of Dil To Pagal Hai and their experiences working together on stage shows. Recalling their first interaction, Geeta said she met Karisma in 1996, when she was beginning her career as an assistant choreographer. Karisma, meanwhile, was already an established actor and was shooting for Dil To Pagal Hai. 1996 mein aap jab ye film ke liye shooting kar rahi thi, Dil To Pagal Hai, tab meri nayi nayi shuruaat hui thi as an assistant choreographer aur aap gaana kar rahi thi 'Pyaar Kar' ka sequence tha and that was the first time I saw you, Geeta recalled. She also remembered Karisma's appearance from that day and the way the actor treated her despite being a major star at the time. Main pehli baar aapse roobaroo hui thi and I thought you were gorgeous; you still are. Aap tab tak already established badi star thi, but you treated me with a lot of love and a lot of respect, she said. Geeta added that she still remembers Karisma wearing a light blue gown during their first meeting. Karisma recalls Geeta's tough dance rehearsals Karisma also had her own memories of working with Geeta, particularly during stage shows.Main bhi ek cheez kehna chahungi, though me and Geeta didn't get a chance to do a film, humne film nahi ki, lekin humne kaafi shows kiye the and Geeta was there full on, Karisma said. The actor then recalled Geeta giving her a particularly challenging dance routine while other performers were given simpler steps. She showed me the dance, I was like, 'Arey arey arey, ye kya ho raha hain?' Sorry, par baaki ke artists easy easy, simple steps kar rahe the aur aisa kuch kar rahe the, aur mujhe kuch I don't know kya Michael Jackson ka step diya gaya tha, Karisma recalled. She said she questioned Geeta about the difficult choreography, but the choreographer remained confident in her abilities. I said, Geeta, what is this? This is not fair. Everybody else you're giving easy steps but Geeta told me you can do it, she added. Karisma recalls National Award moment During the conversation, Karisma also shared an anecdote surrounding her National Film Award win for Dil To Pagal Hai. She recalled being in Calgary, Canada, for a show when she received a surprising call early in the morning. According to Karisma, her co-star Tabu called her from India to share the news before filmmaker Yash Chopra had spoken to her about the honour. The actor's recollection highlighted the camaraderie she shared with her co-stars and colleagues during that phase of her career. The conversation between Karisma and Geeta offered a glimpse into their relationship beyond their professional association, with both recalling moments from a period that played an important role in their respective journeys. Saif Ali Khan is set to headline Priyadarshans upcoming film Haiwaan, in which the actor takes on the challenging role of a visually impaired protagonist. Ahead of the release of the films first song, Mere Hero Hai Woh, stills from the track offer a glimpse into the emotional dynamic between Saifs character and young actor Pahal Chaudhary. The song is scheduled to release today and is expected to introduce audiences to one of the key relationships at the centre of Haiwaan. The stills feature Saif and Pahal in moments that hint at a close emotional bond between their characters. While details about the nature of their relationship are being kept under wraps, the track is positioned as an important part of the films emotional narrative. In Haiwaan, Saif playing this character has marked another challenging role for the actor. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and is expected to combine elements of drama and emotion as the story unfolds around its central characters. The first song, Mere Hero Hai Woh, appears to offer an early look at the human side of Saifs character and his connection with the young girl played by Pahal. The newly released stills show Saif and Pahal sharing an understated camaraderie, with the visuals focusing on their characters rather than the larger scale of the film. The song is expected to further establish the emotional foundation of the narrative and give audiences a closer look at the bond that becomes significant to Saifs character. The film also marks another collaboration between Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar after approximately two decades along with the actors union with filmmaker Priyadarshan too. The director, known for working across genres, has brought together an ensemble for Haiwaan, with the story centred on its protagonist and the circumstances surrounding him. It is inspired by the Malayalam film Oppam also directed by Priyadarshan. While Mere Hero Hai Woh is set to provide the first musical glimpse of the film, the makers have kept much of the plot and character details closely guarded. The songs release will consequently offer audiences their first opportunity to understand the emotional relationship between Saifs character and Pahals character. Haiwaan is produced under KVN Productions and Thespian Films by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on September 11, 2026. With Mere Hero Hai Woh arriving ahead of the film, the makers are beginning to introduce the emotional world of Haiwaan, with Saif Ali Khans performance and his characters bond with Pahal Chaudhary emerging as key elements to watch. Amitabh Bachchan recently opened up about the criticism he faced during the early years of his acting career. The veteran actor recalled being told that he was too tall to become an actor and even being asked to leave a set after arriving late for a shoot. Bachchan shared the memories while interacting with Commonwealth Games 2026 winners Lovlina Borgohain, Asmita Dey, Jhandu Kumar and Sharmila Dhankar on the upcoming episode of the quiz-based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati. During the interaction, Asmita Dey asked Bachchan if he, like athletes, had also faced scolding from directors when he made mistakes. Responding to her question, the actor recalled the harsh criticism he received when he was starting out. Humko badi daant padti hain, shuru-shuru mein toh bahut padi thi. Tumko kuch aata nahi hai, acting-wacting, tum bahut lambe ho, jaake ghar jaao. Bachchan said. The actor further explained that even after he started getting acting opportunities, he continued to receive corrections from directors. Then when I finally got work, they would say, Okay, fine, stand over there and say the dialogue.' They would ask, Is this any way to deliver a dialogue?' They would scold and correct me, and slowly, I improved, he added. Bachchan also recalled an incident when he reached a shoot late. According to the actor, the director was waiting outside the set when he arrived in someone else's car because he did not own one at the time. Usually, I try to reach the shoot on time. Once, I was late. The director was standing outside the set. I arrived in someone else's car because I did not have one at the time. When I reached, the director saw me and said the shooting had been packed up. He told me, Get out of here,' and asked me to leave. The upcoming episode featuring the Commonwealth Games winners follows an appearance by the cast of Batwara 1947, including Sunny Deol, Preity G Zinta and Aamir Khan. During that episode, Bachchan also recalled an incident from the sets of Darr, revealing that Sunny Deol once tore his pants in anger after disagreeing with the director. Batwara 1947 also stars Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh in key roles, alongside others. Meanwhile, Kaun Banega Crorepati, the Hindi adaptation of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, has been hosted by Bachchan for most of its run, except for the third season, when Shah Rukh Khan took over as host. Ali Fazal is set to return as Guddu Pandit aka Guddu Bhaiya in Mirzapur The Movie, and his dramatically bulked-up appearance has become one of the major talking points following the release of the films trailer. The actor has undergone an intense physical transformation to portray a bigger, stronger and more imposing version of the character on the big screen. Reprising the role that made Guddu Pandit a popular character in the Mirzapur franchise, Ali is taking the character from the streaming platform to cinemas. Mirzapur The Movie also marks the franchises transition from the digital space to the big screen, expanding the world and characters of the series into a feature film. For his return as Guddu Bhaiya, Ali worked extensively on his physique to reflect the characters established background as a wrestler. The actor focused on building muscle while also improving his strength, agility and overall physicality to suit the scale of the film. His preparation involved strength and conditioning as well as combat training under an experienced wrestling expert. Beyond his physique, Ali also worked on his movement and fighting techniques to make Guddus physical presence appear convincing during the films action sequences. Talking about the response to his transformation, Ali Fazal said, The reaction to the trailer and especially to Guddus physical transformation has honestly been overwhelming. I have seen some of the reactions from fans and it is incredible to see how invested people still are in this character. Guddu has been a very physical character from the beginning because he is a wrestler, but for the film I knew that I had to take that aspect much further. The scale of cinema is completely different, and I wanted his physicality to reflect that. I wanted him to look bigger, stronger and more intimidating, but at the same time, it had to feel like Guddu. It couldn't just be about getting into shape or looking muscular. He further explained that the transformation was also part of reconnecting with a character he has played for years. Ali said, Seeing fans go crazy over the look in the trailer is incredibly gratifying because they have been part of Guddu's journey from the very beginning. For me, this transformation wasn't just a physical challenge; it was another way of getting under the skin of a character I have lived with for years. Guddu Bhaiya has always had the fire, the rage and the hunger, and this time I wanted his physical presence to match all of that. Bringing him to the big screen has been a completely different experience, and I think audiences are going to see a Guddu they recognise, but also a version of him that they haven't seen before. The Bhaukaal is definitely bigger this time. With his new physique and action-oriented appearance, Alis Guddu Pandit is expected to bring a more physically intense version of the character to the big screen. The transformation adds another layer to Guddu as the franchise moves from streaming to cinema. As Mirzapur The Movie expands the franchise into a theatrical format, Guddu Bhaiya is set to return with the same intensity audiences associate with the character, but on a larger cinematic scale. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah recently completed 18 years and continues to enjoy a massive fan following, thanks to its comic moments, quirky characters and relatable situations. One of its most loved tracks revolves around Jethalal (Dilip Joshi) and his fondness for his married neighbour, Babita (Munmun Dutta). Interestingly, many have drawn parallels between this track and the iconic 90s sitcom Shrimaan Shrimati. The latter featured Keshav (the late Jatin Kanakia), who had a crush on his next-door neighbour Prema Shalini (Archana Puran Singh), the wife of Dilruba (Rakesh Bedi). In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ravi Adhikari, chairman of Sri Adhikari Brothers (SAB) Television Network Ltd, addressed these similarities and a lot more. When asked if Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was inspired by their popular 90s show, Ravi Adhikari said, Yes, it does seem like an inspiration. Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai follows that template even more closely. But a man being attracted to another persons wife is a very relatable idea. You cant call it a copy. Its a case of the grass always being greener on the other side. Whats important, however, is ensuring that the characters dont cross the line, and Shrimaan Shrimati, as well as the other two shows, have taken care of that. Gautam Adhikaris record-breaking achievement As per the official website of SAB Television Network Ltd, Ravi Adhikaris father, the late media pioneer Gautam Adhikari (director and co-founder of the Sri Adhikari Brothers Group), found a place in the Limca Book of Records. On this, Ravi said, Yes. He received that honour for directing as many as 1,700 episodes. No one has been able to break that record yet. He added, Interestingly, he passed away at the age of 67 and had started his career only at 36. Moreover, he wasnt active during the last 10 years of his life due to health reasons. That effectively gives you a span of 21 years. Even during those 21 years, he wasnt working continuously and was occupied with several other things. So, one can safely say that he directed those 1,700 episodes in around 17 years. There are 52 weeks in a year, which means 884 weeks over 17 years. To direct 1,700 episodes in that period means he was directing nearly two episodes every single week!

Less than three months are left for the release of Ramayana and the excitement is tremendous thanks to its casting, subject and never-before-seen visuals. The film is produced by Namit Malhotra and not many are aware that he belongs to an illustrious film family. As per a post by senior industry member Rajesh Vasani of Paras Publicity, Namit Malhotra is the son of producer Naresh Malhotra, who in turn was the son of ace cinematographer and National Film Award winner Mahendra Nath Malhotra. Rajesh Vasani wrote, Having worked with the legendary B R Chopra, Naresh ji has also served as an assistant director to the acclaimed filmmaker Asit Sen, Naresh Malhotra developed a profound understanding of filmmaking from both the creative and business perspectives. He continued, He later became actively involved with the renowned Mushir-Riaz banner and ventured into film production. Along with Rishi Kapoor and Bittu Anand, the son of celebrated writer Inder Raj Anand, brother of filmmaker Tinu Anand, and father of director Siddharth Anand, he co-produced films such as Duniya Meri Jeb Mein (1979) and Yeh Ishq Nahin Aasan (1984). While these films did not achieve the desired commercial success, history has often shown that setbacks are merely stepping stones to greater achievements. Naresh Malhotra then got the opportunity to produce the much-remembered Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Shahenshah (1988). As per the post, The film emerged as a blockbuster, restoring confidence and momentum to the team. Shri Naresh Malhotra would thereafter be widely recognized as the producer of this iconic Amitabh Bachchan starrer, a film that remains a milestone in Indian cinema. Interestingly, Naresh Malhotra worked from modest office operating out of a building garage in Santacruz, Mumbai. It was given on rent by producer-director Naresh Kumar Tuli, brother of Rajendra Kumar aka Jubilee Kumar. Rajesh Vasani said, Always ahead of the curve, Naresh Malhotra ventured into post-production and, together with filmmaker Rahul Rawail and associates, established a dubbing studio at Pali Hill, Bandra. Close friends of Rishi Kapoor, they were among the early visionaries who recognized the immense potential of professional post-production services in India. Then, in 1997, Namit Malhotra founded Prime Focus from the same garage in Mumbai, carrying forward the familys cinematic legacy while embracing the future through technology and innovation. The Facebook post reveals, He was supported by a dedicated team, including professionals such as Anshul Doshi, who would later play a significant role in the companys international expansion, Prime Focus steadily broadened its horizons beyond India. What began as a modest post-production venture evolved into Indias first listed visual entertainment services company and eventually one of the worlds most respected integrated media services groups. The acquisition and integration of DNEG transformed the enterprise into a global leader in visual effects, animation, and creative technology, contributing to multiple Academy Award-winning productions and some of the most celebrated films in the world. Today, Prime Focus and DNEG stand as symbols of Indian excellence on the global stage. He continued, And now, Namit Malhotras dream has come full circle. From a garage in Mumbai to spearheading one of the most ambitious cinematic spectacles ever attempted in Indian filmmaking Ramayana, his journey embodies the belief that imagination, determination, and perseverance can transform the impossible into reality.
