Sidharth Malhotra is set to explore the world of Indian folklore with The Vvaan, an upcoming fantasy adventure also starring Tamannaah Bhatia. For the actor, preparing for the role involved more than achieving a particular physique. He focused on developing the physicality required for a character navigating the film's demanding world. Speaking about his approach to preparing for physically demanding roles, Sidharth said, For me, the physical preparation always starts with understanding the character and what the world demands of him. I don't believe you can just arrive on set and expect the physicality to come together. It has to become part of the character. The actor explained that he distinguishes between simply looking fit and being physically ready for the requirements of a role. For The Vvaan, this meant considering how his character moves and responds to different situations. There is a difference between looking fit and being physically prepared for a role. For Vvaan, I had to think about how this character moves, how he reacts, how he carries himself and how he physically survives everything the story puts him through. The training has to support all of that, he said. Sidharth has previously undergone specialised training for action-oriented roles. For Yodha, he worked on close-quarter and hand-to-hand combat with Craig Macrae and his team, while also focusing on his overall conditioning. His preparation for The Vvaan similarly involved developing functional strength and agility suited to the character. The actor said he enjoys the physical aspect of preparing for his films, particularly when it allows him to learn something new for a role. I actually enjoy the physical side of preparing for a film. I like being active, and I like pushing myself to learn something new for every character, Sidharth said. He added, The goal isn't to make the training visible. The goal is for the audience to believe the character when they see him on screen. According to Sidharth, maintaining a sense of realism was particularly important for The Vvaan, given its fantastical setting. The world of Vvaan is unlike anything I've done before. So the responsibility was to make sure that even within this fantastical setting, the character always feels grounded and believable, he said. The Vvaan is rooted in folklore and combines elements of fantasy, adventure, mystery and humour. The film is written by Arunabh Kumar and directed by Deepak Mishra, with Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. The project also marks a collaboration between TVF, Balaji Motion Pictures and 11.11 Production. Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, in association with TVF and 11.11 Production, the film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari. Manu Anand serves as the director of photography and visual director. The Vvaan is scheduled to release in cinemas on September 25, 2026. Dia Mirza opens up about anxiety; says, I didnt have the vocabulary to define it
Dia Mirza has built a multifaceted identity over the years, balancing her work in films with her roles as a producer, writer and social activist. While she has managed these different aspects of her life, the actress has also experienced her share of challenges. In a recent conversation, Dia opened up about dealing with pressure and anxiety and explained how recognising what she was going through helped her work towards becoming a better version of herself. Talking about the pressure she experienced, Dia said, It was an inability to deal with pressure. And I dont think most of us are equipped to deal with that kind of pressure. Many of us break, and we dont even know we are breaking. How many of us live with anxietyhow many of us know our relationships are so hard because we are living with constant anxiety, and that comes from being in a system that is not fueling purpose and is not giving you the space to be. For Dia, taking a step back from the constant pressure and noise allowed her to find greater balance and focus. Reflecting on that phase, she said, From the moment that I stepped back, I am actually doing much more now than Ive ever done in my life before. I became a film producer at 26; I wrote articles; I worked on the ground with multiple NGOs. I have such a full-body, textured, nuanced existence that I thrive in. And its all self-created. No one told me to do these things. I do them because they give me joy, and they deepen my purpose. And yes, I was anxious; I didnt have the vocabulary to define it at the time. Dia also acknowledged that anxiety remains a part of her life even today. Speaking about her current experiences, she said, I get anxious even now. I work in climate and gender parity. I feel all levels of anxiety practically daily, while adding that she has become better at recognising those feelings and working through them. The actress believes that understanding her own emotions and physical responses has also helped her in her personal life. I think I am a better mother because Im able to recognise whats happening with my body, she said. For Dia, identifying anxiety and learning how to navigate it has been an important part of finding a more grounded way of living. Rather than allowing pressure to define her, she has focused on creating a life driven by purpose and activities that bring her joy. On the professional front, Dia has recently been seen in projects including Ikka and Operation Safed Sagar. As she approaches 25 years in the film industry, the actress continues to explore varied roles and projects, with audiences looking forward to seeing more of her work. In the pictures, Sohum Shah can be seen sitting on the stairs near the front door of the wada. The location holds particular significance for the Tumbbad franchise, as several important events from the first film unfolded there. Titled Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan, the song will be unveiled on September 8, which marks Asha Bhosles birth anniversary. The song is being presented as a tribute to Asha Bhosle and her contribution to Indian music and cinema. The film revolves around the relationship between a father and son and explores the emotional distance that can emerge between two generations. Speaking about the song and his experience of working with Asha Bhosle, Anshuman Jha said, Om Ka Hari is deeply special to me because, at its heart, it is about the importance of saying I love you to your father, something I never got the chance to do. To have Asha Jis voice carry the song that represents the catharsis of the film is one of the most profound and memorable moments of my life as an artist. Being in the studio with her was pure joy and contentment. I only wish she were here in person to celebrate this moment with us. But I know she is always with usin spirit, in her music, and in every life her voice continues to touch. The story centres on two stubborn men from different generations and the conflict that develops between them. At the centre of the narrative is the father-son dynamic and the emotional conversations that often remain unspoken. Director Harish Vyas said the decision to launch the song on Asha Bhosles birth anniversary is intended to celebrate her legacy. Launching the song on her birthday is intended as a celebration of Asha Jis timeless voice, her immense legacy and the generations of listeners whose lives her music has touched, he said. Chahatt Khanna is set to portray a police officer in the upcoming web series Pati Patni and Panga, which will stream on Amazon MX soon. The actress-entrepreneur underwent a significant physical transformation to bring authenticity to her character, losing around 7 kgs and completing intensive training focused on strength, stamina and the body language required for the role. Her preparation went beyond her physical appearance. Chahatt followed a disciplined workout routine and attended focused training sessions to understand the mindset and physicality of a police officer. Talking about the transformation, Chahatt says, When you are playing the character of a cop, you cannot just depend on costumes and makeup. The character needs to reflect in your body language, your fitness and the way you carry yourself. I knew I had to physically transform myself for the role, so I took the preparation very seriously. The actress adds, I lost around 7 kilos for the character and it was challenging because it required a lot of discipline and consistency, but I wanted the transformation to look natural on screen. I have shot a few action scenes for the series and thankfully my MMA (mixed martial arts) training of months came handy. While the physical transformation was demanding, Chahatt says understanding the attitude and temperament of a police officer was another important part of her preparation. The physical aspect was only one part of the preparation. I also worked on the way a cop walks, stands, reacts and handles situations. There has to be a certain confidence and authority in your body language. I wanted to bring that conviction to the character, she shares. Apart from Pati Patni and Panga, Chahatt will also appear in Hungama OTT's Hasratein, where she will play the role of a single mother.
