Cinpolis to distribute Anshuman Jha and Raghubir Yadavs Om Ka Hari in theaters
Following the success of Hanuman-Ansh, Cinepolis is backing the Anshuman Jha and Raghubir Yadav starrer Om Ka Hari as its next major bet on strong, content-led Hindi cinema, in theatres through its distribution arm. Directed by Harish Vyas, Om Ka Hari brings together a spiritually resonant title, a warm familial drama-comedy and the universally relatable theme of the oldest rivalry Father Vs Son. Powered by a strong ensemble cast and anchored by the formidable pairing of Raghubir Yadav and Anshuman Jha, the film combines emotion, humour and a deeply Indian sensibility. Cinepolis strong support for the film signals confidence in Om Ka Haris ability to connect with a wide audience and deliver the kind of word-of-mouth-driven theatrical experience that has increasingly defined successful content-led cinema recently with Laalo and Hanuman Ansh. At Cinpolis, we believe audiences will always come to cinemas for stories that connect with them. Hanuman Ansh has proven that, and with Om Ka Hari, we believe it has the ingredients of a film that can create that connection a universal father-son relationship, warmth, humour and a strong ensemble led by Raghubir Yadav and Anshuman Jha. It is the kind of rooted, content-driven cinema that we believe deserves a strong theatrical platform, and we are excited about its potential to resonate with audiences across markets. Devang Sampat, Managing Director, Cinpolis India. Produced by First Ray Films and with its theatrical release on September 18, Om Ka Hari is emerging as one of the key Hindi titles to watch for the trade and exhibition sector. Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia has exclusively spoken about his recently-released film Ghamasaan and his long-standing association with stories set in the Hindi heartland. The director explained how the region gives him a distinct world to explore, while also offering changing social dynamics that continue to provide new perspectives. Talking about what the heartland allows him to explore as a filmmaker, Dhulia said, It gives me access to a very distinct way of life and a set of social dynamics that are quite different from urban India. The geography itself becomes an important part of the storytelling, while the culture, language, relationships and power structures add several layers to the characters and their motivations. He further added, There is also a certain rawness to the environment that lends itself beautifully to stories involving conflict and survival. For me, it provides a very specific and textured world to build a narrative around. Dhulia also spoke about how his relationship with the Hindi heartland has evolved through his filmography. Earlier, my relationship with the heartland was more personal because I was drawing from experiences and observations that I had grown up around. Over the years, that relationship has become more observational as well, he said. I am now equally interested in understanding how the region is changing and how those changes are influencing people, their aspirations and their relationships. The heartland is not static; it has evolved along with the rest of the country. That evolution gives me newer perspectives and stories to explore, he added. Speaking about the challenges of bringing Ghamasaan to life, Dhulia said there was no single difficulty that stood out. I wouldn't say there was one particular challenge that stood out. This is a genre and a world that I genuinely enjoy working with, so the process was creatively very exciting for me, he said. He explained that considerable attention was given to the films environment and locations. A lot of attention went into getting the environment, locations and details right because they are integral to the story. We wanted the world to feel lived-in rather than constructed, and the research we did helped us achieve that sense of authenticity. Shooting in real locations also added immensely to the atmosphere of the film, Dhulia concluded. During a conversation with fellow contestant Kanika Mann, Mahhi recalled her first music video, her work in South Indian films and how a series of cancelled film projects led her towards television. Mahhi Vij recalls her first music video Mahhi revealed that she moved to Mumbai at the beginning of her career and landed her first major opportunity soon after. Recalling the opportunity, Mahhi said, Bombay gayi toh aate hi mujhe music video mil gaya, woh pink dress wala, Tu Tu Hai Wahi. Woh pehla music video. She added that the music video was followed by several other projects, saying, Uske baad meri life se bahut saare music videos, saare hit kiye maine, saare. Mahhi says she was selected for Mani Ratnams Yuva Mahhi went on to discuss her transition from music videos to films. She said she worked in South Indian cinema, including projects with Prabhu Deva and Mammootty, before being considered for Mani Ratnams Yuva. She recalled, Phir do khatam hua music videos, phir main South films ki Prabhu Deva ke saath. Phir maine ki film Mammootty ke saath. Aur main phir wahan se final hui thi Yuva ke liye. Mani Ratnam ne mujhe Yuva ke liye select kiya. The role she was referring to was eventually played by Kareena Kapoor in the 2004 film. Yuva, directed by Mani Ratnam, featured Kareena alongside Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Vivek Oberoi. Mahhi Vij says she lost a role opposite Vivek Oberoi Mahhi further claimed that she was also in consideration for a film opposite Vivek Oberoi, with Kareena eventually taking on the role. Kareena wale role ke liye Vivek Oberoi ke opposite. But wahan pe kuch equations thodi kharab ho gayi thi kisi ke saath, she said. Following the setback, Mahhi returned to Delhi and said she discussed two or three more film projects. However, those projects were also cancelled at the last minute. Uske baad wapas aa gayi Delhi. Following a special screening of Om Ka Hari, which stars her mother Soni Razdan, Alia Bhatt opened up about her father, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, recalling a childhood memory that captured his theatrical, larger-than-life personality and the small, often amusing ways in which love finds expression within a family. Speaking about one of her fathers quirks that has stayed with her, Alia said, My father is very theatrical and that sometimes makes for great memories. For example, when I was in 1st standard, I had a spelling test and I was worried I was, for some reason, going to forget the spelling of the. My father made it a point to build into my memory, so he did some overbearing gesture to teach me the spelling so I dont forget it. But I remember him being this, like, grizzly bear, highly theatrical and highly entertaining. The memory offered a warm and humorous glimpse into Alias relationship with her father, while resonating with the emotional world of Om Ka Hari, which explores the complexities of the father-son relationship through comedy, drama and the things families often struggle to say to one another. Directed by Harish Vyas, Om Ka Hari stars Anshuman Jha and Raghubir Yadav in the titular roles of Om and Hari. The film follows a stubborn father and his independent-minded son, whose relationship is shaped by generational differences, disagreements and deeply held expectations. When Hari believes he has only a few days left to live, he decides to make a journey to Varanasi, with Om accompanying him. What begins as a journey marked by conflict gradually becomes an opportunity for the two to confront the love, hurt and things left unsaid between them. At its heart, Om Ka Hari explores one of mankinds oldest rivalries, father versus son, and asks a deeply personal question: When was the last time you said I love you to your father? The film examines how affection can often remain unspoken, even in relationships where love runs deep. For Harish Vyas, the film completes his trilogy exploring love and the importance of expressing it. His debut feature, Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain, explored the need for a husband and wife to express their love even after decades of marriage, while Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele explored love and friendship. With Om Ka Hari, Vyas turns to the relationship between a father and son, one where love is often present but difficult to articulate. Alias recollection of Mahesh Bhatts theatrical approach to parenting brought that larger theme into an intimate, personal space, highlighting how the memories that stay with us are often not grand declarations, but the small gestures, eccentricities and moments of affection that become part of who we are. Produced by First Ray Films, Om Ka Hari releases theatrically on September 18, 2026. After working in Broken But Beautiful, Bambai Meri Jaan, Kajol-starrer Maa (2025), etc., Jitin Gulati will next be seen in two Pan-India projects Mahakali, co-starring Akshaye Khanna, and Prabhas-starrer Fauzi. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, the talented actor spoke about his experience of working on Fauzi. Jitin Gulati said, I wish I could talk a lot about it. But I can assure you that what they are creating with Fauzi is something never seen before. Theres a reason why this film is so highly anticipated. I know Prabhas sir is very excited about it. Director Hanu Raghavapudi sir can best be described as conviction personified. You have to be on the set to see him at work. Hes the most hard-working director I have ever worked with. I am quite confident that Fauzi will be a landmark film in the careers of everyone associated with it. I know its a big thing to say, but everyone genuinely believes that. I have shot with Prabhas sir as well as Anupam Kher ji, and it truly feels like we are a part of a magnum opus. Was he star-struck when he met Prabhas for the first time? Jitin Gulati confessed, On the first day, yes. I have been shooting for the film over a period of time, and I first met him last year, in 2025. Since we have all seen him as Baahubali, thats the first image that comes to mind when you see him walk onto the set. It felt like Amarendra Baahubali himself was walking in; I am not joking (laughs). Thats the kind of effect he has on people around him. The good part is that he doesnt carry the aura of a star arriving on set. Hes genuinely one of those rare actors who doesnt carry his stardom with him. Hes very easy-going and extremely easy to work with. Also Read: EXCLUSIVE: Akshaye Khannas UNSEEN side! Bigg Boss 20: Isha Rikhi says she faced physical, emotional and social cheating in relationship
Punjabi actress Isha Rikhi recently opened up about her experiences in relationships following her separation from rapper-singer Badshah. During the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20, Isha spoke to fellow contestant Kanika Mann about trust, infidelity and how she believes some relationship dynamics only become clear after they end. While Isha did not name Badshah during the conversation, her comments came after she recently announced their separation. She appeared to speak about her personal experiences and suggested that she had dealt with different forms of cheating in a past relationship. Isha Rikhi says she faced different forms of cheating During her conversation with Kanika, the topic turned to infidelity. Kanika asked Isha, Which cheating was happening? Physical, emotional, social cheating? Isha responded, All of them. She then explained that she generally does not believe allegations about people close to her unless she sees evidence herself. Using Kanika as an example, Isha said, If someone will come and tell me anything, I will tell them, Either give me a proof, or stop playing with my mind. Isha suggested that she had followed the same approach in her own relationship. According to her, she only understood certain aspects of the situation after the relationship came to an end. When the relationship ends, it is then you realise that you were being played the whole time, she said. Isha on being introduced as a best friend Isha further described what she called a very toxic situation, explaining that someone could make their partner believe they were an important person in their life while simultaneously keeping parts of their social life separate. She said a person could treat someone like their best friend, take them to different places and introduce them to select people, only for the individual to later question whether they had actually held that position in the person's life. What makes it different is that I am doing all this in a particular circle, in privacy and not before the world. It is only a set of people I am introducing you to as my best friend, she said. When Kanika asked whether there could be really too many best friends, Isha explained that some people may repeatedly give others the impression that they are particularly close to them. She suggested that the person she was referring to did not genuinely want a best friend and was instead just playing games. Isha says convenience can influence relationships Kanika then asked Isha why someone would behave in such a manner. Isha attributed it to convenience, saying that a person may want to keep someone in their life because that individual provides something they cannot find elsewhere. The conversation then moved to whether someone could want the relationship without wanting the responsibility that comes with it. Isha agreed with Kanika's observation and suggested that such a person may want their partner to remain available while also seeking freedom and placing restrictions on the other person's social interactions. She further explained that the situation could look different outside the particular social circle where the relationship was being presented in a certain way. According to Isha, this could eventually lead someone to realise that the person they believed was their best friend had been presenting a different version of the relationship elsewhere.
