EXCLUSIVE: Mona Singh on 3 years of Made In Heaven Season 2, I loved playing Bulbul Jauhari, she is very complex and challenging

As Made in Heaven Season 2 completes three years, Mona Singhs portrayal of Bulbul Jauhari continues to remain one of the most memorable performances from the series. With her sharp presence, emotional depth and effortless command over the character, Mona brought a distinct personality to Bulbul, turning her into a character that stayed with audiences long after the season ended. What made Bulbul particularly compelling was the many layers that existed beneath her confident and straightforward exterior. She was gutsy, unapologetic and fiercely independent, while also carrying her own scars with dignity. Speaking about what drew her towards the role, Mona Singh shared exclusively, When I first read the script of Made in Heaven 2, I was completely blown away. I was like, This is such a solid character with so many layers. Then, of course, everybody gets to know the value she adds to the team. She is so gutsy and straightforward. She carries her own scars with absolute dignity. For Mona, Bulbul was a role that demanded her to explore multiple shades and approach the character with both strength and vulnerability. Reflecting on the experience, she added, I absolutely loved playing Bulbul. She is very complex and very, very challenging, and the character is so well-written. Three years later, Bulbul Jauhari continues to be remembered as one of Mona Singhs most nuanced performances. The character allowed her to showcase a side of her craft that was layered, restrained and deeply authentic, further reaffirming her versatility as an actor. Guru Randhawa responds to backlash over Fine Shyt: Its just a silly little slang

Singer Guru Randhawa has addressed the criticism surrounding his latest song Fine Shyt, which has been receiving mixed reactions online. The track, released on August 6, became a topic of discussion on social media, with several users trolling the singer over its title and questioning what theyFdescribed as its cringe lyrics. Responding to the online backlash, Guru took to Instagram on Monday and appeared to take the criticism in a light-hearted manner. Sharing his reaction to the edits and comments surrounding the song, he wrote, Guilty as charged of making songs that repeat in your head forever. Low-key loving the edits though. No bad vibes! It's just a silly little slang calm down calm down calm down fam. While the singer directly addressed the criticism online, he did not appear to mention the controversy during his visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Guru spent some time at the holy site seeking blessings and later shared a picture from his visit on Instagram. Alongside the photograph, the singer posted a message in Punjabi about the strength that comes from Wahegurus blessings. In English, the note read, Whom Waheguru blesses, no storm can ever shake. When Baba Nanak holds someone's hand, they only keep moving forward. His message reflected the idea that challenges cannot overpower someone who has divine support and that faith can help a person continue moving ahead despite obstacles. Fine Shyt features vocals by Guru Randhawa and Yashvi Desai. The music video stars Guru alongside Ruhee Dosani, Divinity Bisht, Arshia Sinha, Raema Grover, Darlene Laura and Mehar Kaur. The video opens with a disclaimer stating that everyone appearing in it is above 18 and that the storyline is entirely fictional. It also features a humorous warning asking viewers not to imitate the dance moves at their workplace, joking that doing so could potentially result in trouble with HR. With his latest response, Guru has made it clear that he is not taking the social media backlash too seriously and views the songs controversial phrase as nothing more than slang. Preity Zinta reveals she asked for a scene with Amitabh Bachchan in Armaan: You better die in the scene

Preity Zinta is set to appear alongside Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol on the premiere episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18 as a part of Batwara 1947 promotions. During an interaction on the show, the actress looked back at her association with the Bachchan family and recalled a humorous incident from the sets of the 2003 film Armaan, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan. During an interaction with the live studio audience, a fan asked Preity about her memories of working with Amitabh Bachchan and the Bachchan family over the years. Responding to the question, the actress spoke about her admiration for the family before recalling how keen she was to share screen space with Amitabh Bachchan early in her career. Preity revealed that while signing Armaan, she had specifically asked director Honey Irani for a scene with Amitabh Bachchan. She recalled, Very fond memories, its one family that I love and respect alot, but if I have to say if all the memories there are one and I was dying to I was dying to work with Amit ji, Dying to..... and maine bohot try kiya (I tried a lot), and then maine film sign ki (I signed a film named) Armaan, and I told Honey Irani, the director, ki main yeh film karungi agar mera Amit ji ke saath ek scene ho (I will do this film if I have a scene with Amitji). So she said, 'okay, if you're dying to work with him, you better die in the scene.' I am in coma and Amitabh ji comes and I am in coma. Amit ji remember? Aur, I was shaking because it so difficult to act dead. I felt so silly because there was the Amitabh Bachchan in the room and I was like and I was shaking, Preity aap scene kharab kar rahein ho, Priety aap hil rahein ho.. (Preity you are doing the scene badly, Preity you are moving) Preity The actress went on to explain that the scene required her character to remain in a coma while Amitabh Bachchan appeared in the room. However, being in the presence of the veteran actor made it difficult for her to remain completely still during the shot. Preitys anecdote added a lighter moment to the conversation as she recalled being repeatedly reminded by the team that her movements were affecting the scene. Her nervousness while sharing the frame with Amitabh Bachchan ultimately became one of the memories she associated with the film. Armaan, directed by Honey Irani, featured Amitabh Bachchan alongside Anil Kapoor, Preity Zinta and Gracy Singh. Released in 2003, the film revolved around the lives of doctors and their personal and professional relationships. Meanwhile, Preity Zinta will be marking her return to the big screen with Batwara 1947 that features her in the role of Sunny Deols wife. The movie also stars Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Karan Deol, among others and is slated to release on August 14. EXCLUSIVE: Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata director Manoj Tapadia speaks on showing patriotism without jingoism ahead of OTT release of Kangana Ranaut starrer on August 14; says, You can love your country quietly

Kangana Ranaut-starrer Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is set to premiere on Zee 5 on August 14, 2026, ahead of Independence Day. Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the Hindi film arrives on the streaming platform during a period when conversations around patriotism and the meaning of serving the nation often take centre stage. Ahead of the OTT premiere, Tapadia spoke exclusively about the film's approach to patriotism and the message he hopes audiences, particularly young Indians, take away from the story. According to the filmmaker, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata does not approach patriotism through loud declarations or overt displays of nationalism. Instead, he believes that love for one's country can be expressed through everyday actions and individual contributions to society. Patriotism can be displayed without jingoism. For me patriotism is as personal an affair as religion. It's an internal feeling. You don't need to be loud and bombastic. You can love your country quietly and serve it without shouting at the top of your lungs. It's the action that matters, not words, Tapadia said. The director added that the film's central idea is rooted in the belief that people can contribute to the country in different ways, irrespective of their profession or position. This films core message, though unsaid is you can show the love for your country from where you are and in whatever capacity you serve the nation, he added. Manoj Tapadia on the message for young Indians With Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata releasing on OTT around Independence Day, Tapadia also spoke about what he expects younger viewers to take away from the film. Rather than describing his hopes, the director expressed confidence that today's youth will understand the film's intent. I don't hope, I am sure what message youth will take out. I want them to feel each and everything we have to say. And they will. They are supremely intelligent and aware, Tapadia said. The filmmaker also hopes the film encourages conversations beyond the screen, particularly within families and communities. For him, the Independence Day period provides an opportunity to look beyond conventional ideas of heroism and recognise people whose contributions often go unnoticed. It's time they discussed selflessness, kindness, humanity, compassion and recognise and talk about the real heroes of our society who remain unsung and undiscovered. Not just discuss but active appreciate their contribution that goes unnoticed. Even in daily life, he said. Tapadia further identified the two ideas he wants audiences to carry with them after watching the film. The first is an emotion of gratitude, accompanied by pride in the country and its people. One emotion that I want the audience to leave with is: Sense of Gratitude with a deep sense of pride, he said. For the director, however, the film's message should ultimately translate into everyday behaviour. He believes that respecting every form of work and the people who perform it should become a regular part of social life. One action: Dignity of labour should become a way of life, Tapadia concluded. With its August 14 premiere, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata will reach audiences just ahead of Independence Day. EXCLUSIVE: Irshad Kamil on returning to dialogue writing after 16 years by doing additional dialogues for Operation Safed Sagar, The are some Pakistani characters who dont speak the kind of Hindi we speak

Irshad Kamil is currently known as one of the most prolific lyricists in Hindi cinema. He is currently riding on the success of Main Vaapas Aaunga. But not many would remember that he started as a screenwriter when he first emerged on the scene more than two decades ago. Interestingly, he has returned to screenwriting in the recently-released web series Operation Safed Sagar after more than a decade and a half. Kamil has written additional dialogues for the show based on 1999 Kargil War. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, he spoke about how he got back to writing dialogues after these many years. Sanjay Routray, the producer of Operation Safed Sagar, knows me from the time of Socha Na Tha (2005). He was the executive producer of that film. He asked to come and see what kind of dialogues can be in this show. As there are also Pakistani characters, they dont speak the kind of Hindi that we speak here. There is a different type of mixture with Urdu. He said I should do some dialogues for some characters. So, I did dialogues for them. This is after around 16 years that I have done dialogues, said Kamil. Kamil revealed the reason for discontinuing screenwriting and becoming a lyricist instead. After migrating to Bombay, I used to write TV shows, he said. I used to write story, screenplay and dialogues. But later I felt that TV is not giving me that kind of a high. After a point, you feel you want something else. So, I left TV and tried lyrics writing. The first film I signed was Socha Na Tha. The first release was Chameli (2003). I started getting more satisfaction while writing lyrics. There is another reason why Irshad Kamil felt it wasnt worth writing for TV shows. What happened with TV was that there was a show after every 30 minute, so they stopped showing the initial credits, which I found heart-breaking. I thought nobody would know whether I have written the show or someone else. So, I left that. My last serial was Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli with Rajshri (Productions), he said. Operation Safed Sagar is getting rave reviews from audiences and critics. The show is streaming on Netflix. EXCLUSIVE: Kay Kay Menon reveals he was pleasantly surprised by child actors of Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya; says, They know everything about the camera

Prime Video's Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya has brought together an ensemble featuring Kay Kay Menon, Archana Puran Singh, Prasanna Bisht and Naveen Kasturia, along with a group of young actors who play the students at the centre of the show's fictional school. The seven-episode series began streaming on July 24 and is set in a dysfunctional Delhi government school, where a laidback headmaster's plan for a fully funded Cambridge trip leads to an attempt to transform the institution. For Kay Kay Menon, however, one of the biggest surprises while working on the show was not the elaborate school set or the ensemble, but the confidence and technical understanding displayed by its young actors. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Menon recalled his first impression of the children on the set and said he was taken aback by how naturally they approached acting and working in front of the camera. The first thing I was completely taken aback by was that the actors were children in this show. They are the actual stars. They are unbelievably good, all of them, and they know everything about the camera, they know the angles, they know about magnification, and bang on, the actor said. Menon noted that the way children perform on camera has changed significantly compared to earlier generations. According to him, young actors today are more natural and do not necessarily rely on the kind of rehearsed mannerisms that were once commonly associated with child performers. It's not the old type acting in which the father and mother used to tutor a child before and send him. I also mentioned this in an interview that previously you used to find a child always saying two times uncle or two times... uncle, uncle used to go like that. So all that is gone. Today the child is behaving like a child, and I was pleasantly surprised, Menon explained. The observation led to a discussion on whether the change represents a broader generational shift in the way children understand filmmaking and performance. Prasanna Bisht, who is also part of Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya, agreed with Menon's assessment. She pointed out that children today are exposed to filmmaking from a much younger age, particularly through smartphones and social media. Yes, I agree. They're making their own films; they're shooting on phones and everything, and it comes with generational information, Bisht said. Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya is currently streaming on Prime Video. Govinda recalls suicidal thoughts after entering Narmada River following mothers death: I thought I would meet my mother again

Govinda has opened up about one of the most difficult periods of his life, recalling the intense grief he experienced following the death of his mother, Nirmala Devi, in 1996. In a recent conversation with ANI, the actor revealed that he once entered the Narmada River while believing that he would be able to meet his mother again. Speaking about the period after his mothers demise, Govinda said he was in tremendous emotional pain and felt that his life had come to an end. I was in a lot of pain. I was in tremendous pain. At that point, I felt that everything was over; that was it, he said. Nirmala Devi, a Hindustani classical vocalist and actress, died on June 15, 1996, at the age of 69. Govinda has often spoken about his close relationship with his mother and the influence she had on his life. Recalling what happened at the Narmada River, Govinda said, So, I was at the Narmada River, I thought I would go a little farther into the river and that I would meet my mother again. So, I went into the river. When asked if the incident was an attempt to end his life, Govinda responded, Kind of. I was deeply attached to my mother. I was too much in love with her. He added that he did not view the incident only through the terminology commonly associated with suicide. Thats what the world calls it. People use suicide type of words. We don't really have anything like that. Life never ends. It takes on new faces; It takes on new forms, he said. Govinda recalled that a sadhu, whom he remembers as Ram Kundal, approached him and helped him leave the river. He called out to me and came toward me. I came out of the river and he asked What happened, Govind? he said. The actor said the incident eventually made him reconsider his life and responsibilities. I realised, actually someone said to me this at that time that I was doing something wrong... And I learned a lesson, I realised that I have to live for my children, he said. Govinda said it took him around 10 to 15 days to come out of that state of mind. He eventually realised there was something else in this world that he needed to experience and decided to move forward. The actor also reflected on how his mothers death changed his perspective on films, acting and stardom. Films are just like toys for me. I shouldn't say this; I am saying it out of fear of God. Forgive me if I shouldn't be saying this, and if I am offending anyone... But I believe that films, acting, stardom, heroism, all of it, is a manifestation of God. Whatever we have received, we have received from God, and we are simply acting in it. We have seen all of this, and we were able to experience it. For Govinda, however, fulfilling his mothers dreams remains his biggest achievement. But the real achievement for me was that I could serve my family and my mother. I could fulfil all the wishes she had imagined for me, what she had thought my son Govinda would achieve when he turned 21. That was her dream. And I was able to fulfil it. I saw true heroism in that part of my life. That is a very different way of looking at things, he said. On the work front, Govinda is currently promoting his upcoming film Roopa, which also stars Komal Rani Swarnkar. The film marks his comeback after several years. He was last seen in Rangeela Raja in 2019 and later appeared in the 2022 documentary Naam Tha Kanhaiyalal. Pankaj Tripathi says Mirzapur was a leave me alone watch on OTT: Its now in party mode

Pankaj Tripathi has opened up about the transition of Mirzapur from a popular streaming series to a theatrical film, saying the biggest change will be the way audiences experience the story. Mirzapur: The Film is scheduled to release in cinemas on September 4, 2026, bringing several familiar characters back to the big screen. Ahead of the films trailer launch, Tripathi, who plays the iconic character Kaleen Bhaiya, spoke about how the theatrical format will offer something different from the shows OTT experience. The new thing about the film and you actually touched upon this in your question is the scale. On OTT, you watch on screens ranging from 5 to 100 inches, but now youll be watching on a 25-to-28-foot screen. So, the major shift is that you get to see it on the big screen and experience it communally. Until now, watching on OTT was a solitary, private affair; now, youll be watching it with an audience, he said. Tripathi believes watching Mirzapur collectively in theatres will alter the impact of the franchise. Whenever a performance or art form is experienced communally, the impact changes entirely. Enjoying it in a group creates a unique, shared experience. So, while Mirzapur used to be a leave me alone kind of watch, its now in party mode. The world is the same, the characters are the same, but the story is new, and the experience is much grander, he added. The actor also revealed that he recently worked on the films dubbing and was impressed by what he saw. I was doing some dubbing work yesterday and really enjoyed what I saw. I even wondered, Is it just because Im part of the film that Im enjoying it so much? he said, adding that his excitement increased after seeing the footage. Directed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, Mirzapur: The Movie is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment. The film stars Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu, among others, and will release in Hindi and Telugu. Sanjay Kapoor reveals Sirf Tum success brought him no film offers: Nobody signed me

Sanjay Kapoor has opened up about the unexpected impact of the success of his 1999 romantic film Sirf Tum. Despite the film receiving a strong response at the box office and remaining popular decades later, the actor revealed that its success did not translate into a steady flow of film offers for him. Speaking to Digital Commentary, Sanjay recalled how surprising the situation was after the film became a hit. He said, Sirf Tum was such a huge hit that today, even after 27 years, we are talking about it. But look at my destiny, I didnt sign a single film after Sirf Tum. The actor said he was particularly puzzled by the industry's reaction. According to him, while audiences and people praised the film, producers did not approach him with substantial projects. People praised that film so much, but I dont know what went wrong that nobody ever approached me after that. Nobody signed me. I didnt receive any good offers, he said. Sanjay also clarified that he was not rejecting a series of major projects because of the success. Instead, he said the offers coming his way were limited and did not meet his expectations. I wont lie that I was loaded with projects and I declined. I had limited offers, but they were not very great. I thought, I have given a hit, let me wait for something better, he added. Comparing the situation with the industry today, Sanjay observed that actors can benefit significantly after delivering a few successful films. Today, if people give three hits, their career is set for 25 years. They bag several ads. They start earning in crores just after one big hit, he said. Sanjay also defended Sirf Tum against the perception that its success was driven only by its popular music. He credited the film's unusual storyline, pointing out that the lead characters do not meet until the end. Apart from having superhit songs, the script of Sirf Tum was unbelievable, he said. The actor also recalled another major success, Raja (1995), which followed his unsuccessful debut Prem. Despite achieving two significant box-office successes, Sanjay said he struggled to establish himself as a consistent leading man in Bollywood. EXCLUSIVE: Taapsee Pannu on her motivation for staying fit, I want to be able to eat the food I love

Taapsee Pannu has often spoken about the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle while also enjoying the food she loves. For the actress, fitness is not about following a strict routine every single day, but about finding different forms of physical activity that keep her motivated and allow her to maintain a balance. Speaking about her approach to food and exercise, Taapsee exclusively said, I love eating food. One thing I have discovered is that if you want to enjoy the food you love without worrying too much about how many calories it has and how much weight you can gain after eating it, you should not skip your workouts. Rather than relying only on traditional gym sessions, she incorporates different activities into her routine to ensure that fitness does not become monotonous. Taapsee revealed that sports are an important part of her fitness regime, with squash being one of her preferred activities. She also combines it with gym workouts and aerial yoga, which provides a different form of physical exercise. I play sports at least twice a week, especially squash, the actor added. Of course, I also go to the gym and I also practice aerial yoga. For those who may not know, aerial yoga is performed using a fabric hammock suspended from the ceiling. These are the two or three ways I keep myself fit because going to the gym every day can get boring after a while. My biggest motivation for staying fit is simple - I want to be able to eat the food I love. Taapsees fitness philosophy is therefore centred on consistency, variety and balance. By combining sports, gym sessions and aerial yoga, she finds ways to remain active without allowing her workout routine to become repetitive. Abishek S. Vyas on using AI in filmmaking, If AI is used to replace emotions in a film, it will take away the charm

AI is everywhere right now. In boardrooms, in post-production suites, in the way scripts are being developed and films are being marketed. And the entertainment industry, like every other, is trying to figure out what it means. Abishek S. Vyas has an answer. He's not dismissing the technology. But he knows where it ends. For him, AI is a workflow tool. It can speed things up, clean up processes, take the friction out of production. Technology will continue to reshape how we make films, but it can't replace the emotional truth that comes from human experiences, he said. Audiences remember stories because they connect with them emotionally, not because they were created faster. He also added, AI cant replace the emotional intelligence of writers. AI can be used as an enhancing tool as far as production is considered. But if AI is used to replace emotions in the film, that will take away the charm. And that part of storytelling is what Abishek Vyas is intent on protecting. He explains that he is not resistant to change. He's simply watching the technology closely and thinking about how it fits into the way he works. But there's a part of filmmaking that no tool gets to touch. The empathy. The specificity of a human moment. The thing that makes someone watch a scene and feel like it was made for them, that the story was lived in. That doesn't come from a model trained on data. It comes from a person who's lived something, felt something, and found a way to put it on screen.
