The latest royal accounts have also put spending on property maintenance, staff and travel under scrutiny, including hundreds of thousands of pounds spent on helicopter and charter flights. The Palace maintains that the Sovereign Grant is not personal income for the royals, but funds official duties, staff, travel and the upkeep of royal properties. Indian pop titan and streaming powerhouse Darshan Raval is plotting a massive return to the road. Produced and promoted by leading live events promoter Team Innovation in association with Warner Music India, the singer-songwriter has announced a five-city tour The Love Letters India Tour, marking his first extensive live trek following a three-year hiatus. Riding high on the success of his latest monsoon anthem Barsaat Lagdi Ae, Raval will bring his high-production, fan-first show to major arenas across Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi this November and December. The highly anticipated trek marks Ravals official return to the touring circuit following a significant gap. While Raval historically commanded massive crowds on his landmark 20222023 multi-city national tours, most notably his 10-city Love A Fair India Tour and subsequent Sound Of Love concert series, this upcoming winter run represents his first full-scale road effort since early 2023, signalling a grand new chapter of massive production and artistic reinvention. Far from a standard, passive concert sequence, the 2026 run is structurally designed as a hyper-immersive, fan-first event series. The tour will integrate premium global production standards utilizing state-of-the-art spatial acoustics and dynamic, panoramic stage architecture to cultivate an intimate, close-proximity atmosphere even within large arena spaces. Strategically prioritized for his core listener community, the venues will feature interactive, on-ground community activations, dedicated fan hubs, and experiential storytelling zones designed to bridge the physical space between the artist and the audience. Darshan Raval states, Every tour feels like a reunion with the people who have built this journey with me. This run is particularly close to my heart because it follows a long period away from the stage. We are building a show focused on making every section of the arena feel like the front row and it is the exact homecoming my fans deserve after three long years. Mohit Bijlani, Founder, Team Innovation states, What sets Darshan apart is the profound, almost subcultural loyalty of his fan community. They don't just listen; they live his music. That is why this tour rejects the typical, cookie-cutter concert blueprint. We are leaning heavily into specialized, on-ground community integrations and immersive layouts. We want every single person in that room to feel a direct, intimate connection to the stage. It is a massive arena tour wrapped in the soul of a close-knit community gathering. Jay Mehta, Managing Director, Warner Music India & SAARC states, Partnering with Darshan Raval for this monumental tour aligns perfectly with our vision at Warner Music India to elevate the live music experience to global standards. Darshans evolution into a standalone pop icon is unparalleled and after a considerable hiatus, his fans are hungry for a true spectacle. This tour is more than a live show; it is a celebration of a brand-new studio album and a testament to his massive cross-generational appeal. We are incredibly proud to back a production of this scale that honours the deep, emotional bond he shares with his global listener community. Tickets are available exclusively on District by Zomato. Ravals market dominance relies on his unique duality: a trusted Bollywood playback engine combined with a fiercely independent pop identity. His catalog spans massive cinematic anthems like Chogada, Mehrama, Kamariya and the streaming behemoth Kabhii Tumhhe alongside genre-defining independent non-film hits like Tera Zikr, Ek Tarfa, Asal Mein, Mahiye Jinna Sohna and his signature monsoon anthem Baarish Lete Aana. This cross-generational repertoire has cemented his status as a standalone pop idol capable of filling stadium-scale rooms independently. Zee TVs Tu Hi Re Dil Mein is set for another major twist with the entry of actor Anuraj Chahal. The actor has joined the show as Sanjog, a character who shares a close friendship with Sanjay, played by Abrar Qazi. According to Chahal, his entry will bring new developments to the ongoing storyline involving Sanjay, Vrinda and Swati. The show recently moved into a new phase following Vrinda, played by Priyanshi Yadav, and Sanjays marriage. At the same time, Vrinda and Swati, portrayed by Simran Rawal, have grown increasingly close, with their relationship developing into one resembling that of sisters. However, a key truth continues to remain hidden from Vrinda. She is yet to meet Swatis fianc and does not know that Sanjay, the man she has married, is also the person Swati loves and is expected to marry. The situation is expected to become more complicated with Sanjog entering the narrative. Talking about joining Tu Hi Re Dil Mein and his character, Anuraj Chahal said, Entering Tu Hi Re Dil Mein as Sanjog has been a wonderful experience so far. Sanjog is Sanjays good friend and, while he is a positive character, there are many layers to him that will unfold as the story progresses. His entry will bring several twists and turns, and his presence will bring significant changes to Sanjay, Vrinda and Swatis lives. We will also get to see some interesting and unexpected connections between Sanjog and the three leads, which I believe will make his journey one of the most interesting sequences on the show. I am very excited to play this role and explore the different shades of me as an actor. Working with Abrar Qazi, Priyanshi Yadav and Simran Rawal has been amazing, as they are all wonderful actors. I truly hope the audience enjoys watching Sanjog as much as I have enjoyed playing him and welcomes both me and my character into the show. Chahals character is described as positive but layered, with aspects of his personality expected to emerge as the story progresses. His connection with Sanjay and the three central characters is likely to become an important part of the upcoming episodes. With Vrinda still unaware of the connection between her husband and Swatis relationship, Sanjogs arrival could further complicate the existing dynamics and introduce new conflicts. Tu Hi Re Dil Mein airs every day at 7 PM on Zee TV. Also Read: Abrar Qazi on Sanjays dilemma in Tu Hi Re Dil Mein; says, People are quick to blame the man

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, director Meghna Gulzar, producers Vineet Jain and Dr Jayantilal Gada and Junglee Pictures CEO Amrita Pandey attended the trailer launch of Daayra at a multiplex in Mumbai. The film deals with violence by a minor against another minor. Kareena was asked about what she feels about it, especially as a mother to sons, Taimur and Jeh. Kareena Kapoor Khan said, Its the responsibility of the boy and man as well. I am a mother of two sons and, of course, I am terrified because as a mother, you want to do your best. You want to protect them. You want to also show them that they are responsible. So, the only thing I keep praying for is that men should be more kind. The perception is that girls are always sensitive. But thats not always the case. There are men and boys who today have no fear of being sensitive and crying in front of a girl or their mother. I always tell my son, If he wants to cry, he should go ahead. He has to experience that and he has to know (what it feels like). View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bollywood Hungama (@realbollywoodhungama) Kareena added, There were some scenes in this film which would just automatically choke me. Theres a scene which I have done with my fellow co-star (pointing at someone in the audience); its also my favourite scene in the film. Meghna is not allowing me to say anything more! But it touches upon the belief that galti hamesha ladki ki hi hoti hai. You have to see that scene to understand the way Meghna has written it and the way she has communicated it. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has praised Dhurandhar The Revenge for its realistic portrayal of characters while appearing to take an indirect dig at films that focus heavily on hero elevation, style and spectacle. Although Varma did not name any film in his lengthy post on X, his comments come amid ongoing comparisons between Ranveer Singhs Dhurandhar The Revenge and Yashs Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups. The comparison between the two films began after both were initially scheduled to release on the same date in March. While Toxic was subsequently postponed and eventually released last week, discussions comparing the two films have continued. Ram Gopal Varma praises Dhurandhars characters Sharing his thoughts on Dhurandhar The Revenge, Varma highlighted what he believes makes the film connect with audiences. Drawing a comparison with his own 1998 crime drama Satya, he wrote, What every film maker should understand from #dhurandhar is that it is full of living, breathing characters who seem as real as you and me sitting and watching in the theatre, hence making it highly relatable. He added, Satya is about gangsters, but be it Bhiku Matre, Kallu Mama or Vakil Mule, they all look as real as anyone real. Dhurandhar took this to another level. Varma went on to describe realism as the key takeaway for filmmakers, particularly when working on big-budget projects. That is the only lesson worth stealing for all film makers which the one most expensive films refuse to learn, he wrote, before referring to James Camerons Titanic as an example of a large-scale production that invested in making its world appear believable. Dhurandhar does not treat its hero as a walking poster The filmmaker also praised the way Dhurandhar handles its central character, arguing that the protagonist does not always have to dominate every scene. Dhurandhar does not treat its hero as a walking poster who must be worshipped at all costs. He can be non existent in the room. He can wait tables, listen instead of speaking, miscalculate, get dirty, get smaller in front of more smaller characters, Varma wrote. He further praised the film for allowing its supporting characters to exist independently of the protagonist. The politician, the cop, the cousin, the juice shop friend none of them feel hired to decorate the star. They feel like people who would still be there whether the hero was there or not, he said. According to Varma, this approach makes the audience more invested in the world rather than simply waiting for the next hero-elevation moment. What every film maker should understand from #dhurandhar is that it is full of living, breathing characters who seem as real as you and me sitting and watching in the theatre, hence making it highly relatable. Satya is about gangsters, but be it Bhiku Matre, Kallu Mama or Vakil Ram Gopal Varma (@RGVzoomin) August 31, 2026 The other films swagger Without naming the film or films he was referring to, Varma then contrasted Dhurandhar with what he described as a different style of filmmaking. The other films swagger. Have fog and slow motion that lasts longer than the characters inner lives. The women are not people.. they are functions arranged around the same gravitational centre so that the centre never has to become a living real person, he wrote. He also criticised what he sees as the overuse of visual style and artificial intensity, saying, In the other films, violence is just a spectacle minus context. Attitude is the plot. Style arrives first and th n searches for a reason. Varma further argued that some films prioritise the visual presentation of their stars over character development. The camera does not observe, it advertises. Editing does not cut time, it manufactures fake intensity that was never in the writing, he stated. You do not leave knowing a single thing about him as a human being Varma concluded by returning to the importance of character-driven storytelling. He compared the characters in Satya and Dhurandhar with the unnamed films he was criticising. Satyas gangsters could have existed on a real Mumbai street. Dhurandhars Lyari men feel like they have already lived for many years before the hero came there, he wrote. He then added, The other films heroes feel assembled in a look test. You leave knowing the heros hair, the heros walk, the heros catchphrase. You do not leave knowing a single thing about him as a human being. Varma ended his post by reiterating what he considers the difference between immersive filmmaking and spectacle-driven cinema: Dhurandhars director trusts the audience enough to put living people on screen and let them feel as much as the protagonist . The hero feels as much pain as the villain . One is cinema that cuts into flesh. The others are cinema that pose for the camera. Actress Sonali Kulkarni once took on an unusual role in Ali Abbas Zafars Bharat, where she played Salman Khans mother despite being nine years younger than the superstar. Sonali, who is 51, portrayed the older character opposite Salman, who is now 60. In a recent interaction with SCREEN, the actress opened up about how she came to accept the challenging part. Sonali revealed that she initially questioned whether she was the right choice for the role. During the casting process, she felt she cant be playing this role. However, director Ali Abbas Zafar and casting director Mukesh Chhabra were very sure about casting her and explained why her character was important to the films narrative. She said, The flashback meant everything to that film. Thats how Bharat gets his name and reacts to situations. No director or casting director would like to fit in a wrong person somewhere. That would be a failure on their part also. So, I tried to understand that. So, I took it up as a challenge. Sonali said it took a lot of convincing before she agreed to play the part. Apart from the creative challenge, she admitted that the opportunity to meet and work with Salman was also a temptation for her. Recalling her experience with the actor, Sonali said, We bonded very well on the sets of Bharat. One can learn from him to treat people well. He was ever gracious. And he scored a point when he gave me his cycle to ride. The actress also revealed that she was paid well for the role. She added that most of her scenes were with the child artiste who portrayed the younger version of Salmans character. Released in 2019, Bharat starred Salman Khan alongside Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani and Tabu. Directed and co-written by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film was a box-office success. Meanwhile, Salman has Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, earlier titled Battle of Galwan, and the yet-to-be-titled SVC63 in his upcoming lineup. Abhishek Banerjee has spoken about how his work in Stolen influenced the way filmmakers approached him professionally. Following the success of Stree 2, the actor took on the lead role in the survival thriller, which presented him in a different genre and required him to carry much of the films emotional and narrative arc. Reflecting on the shift in his career after Stree 2, Abhishek said, Stree 2 jaisi commercial film ke baad, meri agli film thi Stolen. It was a completely different space and a different genre. So, I think that also worked for me where people saw that I can take responsibility of a film on my shoulders and be with it till the last point. Directed by Karan Tejpal, Stolen revolves around two brothers searching for a kidnapped baby, with Abhishek playing Gautam Bansal. Zee TVs Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, starring Amandeep Sidhu as Sneha and Sheizaan Khan as Siddhu, is set to enter an emotionally intense phase. The show, which recently focused on the developing relationship between Siddhu and Sneha, is now gearing up for a dramatic turn involving Madhu, played by Priya Bhardwaj. In the recently released promo, Madhu meets with a major accident, following which Durgawati, portrayed by Indira Krishnan, holds Sneha responsible for her condition. Durgawati subsequently asks Sneha to leave the house and Siddhu and tells Siddhu to sever his relationship with Sneha. The sequence has already had an emotional impact on the actors and crew. Amandeep Sidhu and Sheizaan Khan, who recently filmed the scenes surrounding Sneha and Siddhus confrontation, revealed that they became emotional while performing the sequence. According to Sheizaan, even members of the technical crew were affected while filming the scene. Talking about Snehas decision to accept Durgawatis demand despite believing that she is not responsible for Madhus condition, Amandeep said, Sneha has always been someone who stands her ground when she knows she is right. But this time, despite knowing that she is not responsible for what has happened, she chooses not to defend herself. Seeing what Durgawati is going through as a mother, what Siddhu is going through as a brother, and the pain the entire family is facing, Sneha feels that proving herself right is insignificant in comparison. So, when Durgawati asks her to leave, she quietly accepts her decision and even makes Siddhu understand her perspective. After all the love and lighthearted moments that SneDhu fans have seen recently between Sneha and Siddhu, this track is going to come as a big emotional surprise. Sheizaan, meanwhile, spoke about Siddhus dilemma as he finds himself caught between his relationship with Sneha and his concern for his sister. He said, Siddhu has always been sure of one thing, that no matter what, he will never leave Sneha, and he has even gone against his mother several times to stand by her. But this time, with his sister battling for her life and Durgawati going through an emotional turmoil while believing Sneha is responsible for Madhus condition, Siddhu finds himself conflicted... While shooting the said scenes, Amandeep and I actually broke down, and even our DOP told us he was crying while filming the scene. Just like the fans, Im also waiting to see what Siddhu does this time, will he let Sneha go because of Durgawatis decision, or will he find a way to save their relationship? The upcoming track is expected to test Siddhu and Snehas relationship as Durgawatis decision threatens to separate them. After their recent romantic progression, the new storyline will introduce a conflict that could significantly alter their equation. Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan airs every day at 9 pm on Zee TV. Activist Sonam Wangchuk has finally reacted to Salman Khans viral Sonam, its done bro remark, which became a talking point on social media after the actor appealed to him to call off his hunger strike. Wangchuk addressed the comment during his appearance on Prakhar Guptas podcast, where he was also shown a T-shirt featuring Salmans picture along with the now-famous line. During the conversation, Wangchuk was asked whether he was aware of Salman Khans comment. As the T-shirt was handed to him, the activist smiled before sharing his reaction to the actors remarks. Majbooriyan hoti hongi sabki. Aage peeche, daayen baayen dekhna padta hai. Lekin unhone kuch kaha uski main izzat karta hoon (Everyone must have their own compulsions. You have to consider all sides and look at the situation from every angle. But I respect whatever he has said), Wangchuk said. The remark comes months after Wangchuk went on an indefinite hunger strike at Delhis Jantar Mantar. He had extended his support to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which had called for the resignation of then Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. During his protest in Delhi, police shifted Wangchuk to a hospital, where he continued his hunger strike. Manisha Koirala has spoken about the ongoing aftermath of the devastating floods in Nepal and urged neighbouring countries and the international community to extend support to the country during the crisis. The actress was speaking at an event titled In Solidarity With Nepal, organised in association with Sadhgurus Isha Foundation. Addressing the situation faced by the country, Manisha said that Nepal would have to gather its strength and move forward despite the challenges. She stated, All I know is that when we are faced with a problem, we have no choice but to overcome it. We have nothing else to do but collect all our strength and take baby steps forward. And that is what our nation will do. That is what our people will do. The actress also highlighted the larger concerns surrounding climate change and global warming, calling for India, China and Nepal to work together to address the challenges posed by environmental crises. Manisha said, We are facing the brunt of global warming. What should be our next step? I request that we, as human beings, our great neighbours, China, India, Nepal, somehow join hands in this and do something collectively. We are so linked with each other. And to try and avoid something like this. I hope and pray. Without making sense of this disastrous moment, we become better people. We help others just like we'll help our own. Beyond immediate assistance, Manisha also emphasised the importance of tourism for Nepals recovery. She appealed to people from across the world to continue visiting the country rather than allowing the natural disaster to define its image internationally. Other than this, I want to request all the international communities... I pray that your love and support continue. We, as a nation, need people to come to our country. We don't want to be known as 'Oh, this country is full of disasters'. We need you all to travel. Yes, there's a calamity in Tibet and Nepal border. But tourism is a breath, she added. Manishas comments come at a time when Nepal continues to deal with the impact of the floods. Through her appeal, the actress stressed the need for solidarity from neighbouring nations, continued international support and the restoration of tourism as the country works towards rebuilding and recovery.
