World Cup commentator suspended for rest of tournament after mixing up Iran and New Zealand on air

Turkish state broadcaster TRT has removed veteran commentator Murat Ekrem imen from its World Cup coverage after he repeatedly confused Iran and New Zealand during their Group G draw. The on-air errors prompted a public apology and internal investigation. Despite support from colleagues, imen has been suspended from all remaining tournament broadcasts pending the outcome of TRT's review.
