Dubai has launched AI-powered cameras on waste collection vehicles to monitor littering and illegal dumping in real time. The system identifies violations instantly, enabling authorities to take swift action, with fines up to Dh500 for offenders. Part of the Smart Waste Management framework, the pilot supports Dubais 2041 Waste Strategy, enhances public cleanliness, and reinforces the emirates sustainability and innovation goals.
