Houthi attack on Saudi oil giant raises global energy concerns

The conflict in Yemen has entered a dangerous new phase after Iran-backed Houthi rebels targeted the headquarters of Saudi oil giant Aramco in Dhahran. While there were no reported fatalities, the strike damaged parts of the companys headquarters and highlighted the Houthis growing ability to hit strategic targets deep inside Saudi Arabia. The attack comes amid renewed fighting in Yemen, repeated strikes on Saudi infrastructure and growing concerns over regional stability, global energy supplies and the risk of a wider Middle East conflict.
