Harshvardhan Rane praises Silaa co-star Sadia Khateeb, calls her one of the most deserving female leads in Hindi cinema

Harshvardhan Rane has expressed his admiration for his Silaa co-star Sadia Khateeb, describing her as one of the most deserving female leads in Hindi cinema and emphasising that she is not just a heroine. His appreciation comes shortly after Khateeb was announced as a writer on Kriti Sanons upcoming film, backed by Dinesh Vijans Maddock Films. Rane shared his thoughts in the comments section of the first-look poster of Silaa, which features the actor in a rugged, battle-scarred appearance. While the poster offered a glimpse into the films action-romance setting, Rane used the occasion to acknowledge Khateebs abilities and potential rather than focusing solely on his own appearance or the project. This is not the first time the actor has spoken positively about his co-stars. During a schedule of Silaa, Rane appreciated Khateebs performance and dedication to the film. He also acknowledged fellow co-star Ipsitaa, referring to her as the star of the film, and recognised Karan Veer Mehras contribution. In addition, he praised the technical crew, highlighting the work of those involved behind the scenes. Rane has also encouraged a supportive approach towards fellow actors outside his immediate circle. When social media users began comparing his performance in Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat with Ahaan Pandays work in Saiyaara, he urged audiences not to pit the two actors against each other, describing Panday as sincere and talented. The actor has similarly expressed his appreciation for Sonam Bajwa, his co-star in Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. In an interview with Filmfare, Rane described working with her as one of his top two experiences with a co-star and said she had a mountain of untapped potential. Calling her an earnest artist and a refined human being, he expressed confidence that she could be recognised not only as an A-grade commercial heroine but also as a top-notch actor capable of holding a scene through silence and the power of her eyes. He added that the industry had not even scratched the surface of her potential. With Rane and Khateeb set to share screen space in Silaa, his latest words have brought attention to their professional camaraderie ahead of the films release. His appreciation for his co-stars, fellow performers and crew members reflects his willingness to acknowledge the contributions of others in an industry where conversations often centre on individual actors.
