Capital punishment awarded to accused of brutally killing 8-year-old girl after rape in UP

A Ramnagar man, Irshad, has been sentenced to death by hanging for the brutal rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl. The special POCSO court delivered the verdict within 11 months of the incident, also imposing a Rs 60,000 fine. The court described Irshad as 'savage' and a danger to society.
