UP food safety drive: 801 samples sent for testing after inspections at 496 establishments

Food safety officials inspected nearly 500 establishments across Uttar Pradesh. They collected over 800 food samples for laboratory analysis. Officials seized and destroyed substantial quantities of unfit food products. FIRs were registered in Shahjahanpur and Unnao for alleged adulteration. Several food processing units faced action for various violations.
