5 officials arrested in Uttar Pradesh anti-corruption crackdown, Vigilance agency captures Rs 1.34 lakh in bribes

In a decisive crackdown against corruption in Uttar Pradesh, the Vigilance Establishment has arrested five people, four of whom are government officials, on charges of accepting bribes amounting to Rs 1.34 lakh. The arrests, made in Hapur, Kannauj, and Baghpat districts, followed reports from citizens about illicit payments for carrying out their official responsibilities.
