Next CJI: Justice Surya Kant appointed as 53rd top Justice; oath on Nov 24

Justice Surya Kant has been appointed as the 53rd Chief Justice of India. He will formally take oath on November 24, succeeding Chief Justice Bhushan Gavai, and will become the first top justice from Haryana.
