Resisting delimitation can be more harmful for southern States

The BJPs proposal is to have 50% additional seats in the Lok Sabha, one-third of the new total being reserved for women, nationally and in each State; for instance, Kerala, which at present has 20 seats, will have 30 seats, of which ten will be reserved for women.
