Colleges within schools

From just a couple of government colleges in 1966, the year Haryana was formed, the State now has 186. The policy of every school graduate having access to a college within 20 km propelled Haryana into number-driven growth over the past five years. On ground though, Ashok Kumar finds that many colleges are run from school buildings, there are few courses on offer, and an acute shortage of teaching staff leaves students at a disadvantage
