Pune Excise Department seizes illicit liquor worth Rs 1.47 crore; 116 arrested

Following the suspected methanol liquor tragedy that claimed nearly 20 lives in Pune, the Maharashtra Excise Department launched an intensive enforcement drive between May 29 and June 4. Officials registered 142 cases, arrested 116 people, seized illicit liquor and related material worth Rs 1.47 crore
