West Bengal hikes Lakshmir Bhandar allowance, raises pay for ASHA, anganwadi workers ahead of polls

West Bengal's government has boosted allowances for women and incomes for civic volunteers, asha, and anganwadi workers. These hikes come before the upcoming assembly elections. The Lakshmir Bhandar scheme sees a Rs 500 monthly increase for women. Other workers will receive a Rs 1000 raise.
