US Justice Department drops bid to force California to set aside disputed ballots

The U.S. Department of Justice has requested to dismiss its lawsuit against California regarding alleged noncitizen ballots. California officials claimed that the list of suspected noncitizens is outdated and includes legitimate voters. U.S. District Judge David O. Carter warned against separating ballots, which could disrupt the election process.
