Tribunals can accept fresh documents in SIR appeals after authenticity check: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has permitted appellate tribunals in West Bengal to accept new evidence from individuals removed from voter lists. These documents must be verified for authenticity. The Election Commission of India has notified 19 appellate tribunals. Judicial officers are adjudicating claims and objections, with pending matters expected to be cleared by April 7.
