Some 1,500 ships trapped in Gulf due to Iran conflict: IMO

Approximately 1,500 ships and 20,000 crew members are trapped in the Gulf due to an Iranian blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, following a war initiated by Israel and the US against Iran.
