Rare double meteor shower peaks July 3031: Here's the best time to watch

Skywatchers can see two meteor showers peaking overnight July 30 into July 31. The Southern Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids will both be active. A nearly full Moon will make viewing fainter meteors challenging this year. However, bright fireballs from Alpha Capricornids may still be visible. The Perseid meteor shower in August offers better viewing conditions.
