Rape case of minor: SC notice to Rajasthan on Asaram's plea challenging Rajasthan HC judgment

The Supreme Court has asked the Rajasthan government to respond within two weeks to a plea by Asaram, challenging his life sentence for the 2013 rape of a minor. While upholding his conviction, the Rajasthan High Court had previously acquitted him of gangrape charges. The apex court stated it would consider bail only if his life is in danger, after hearing the state's reply.
