Punjab to end contractual hiring in govt departments as Cabinet gives nod to bring two bills

The Punjab Cabinet has approved two bills to end contractual and outsourcing hiring in government departments. This historic decision will benefit over 65,000 outsourced employees. They will now receive facilities on par with other government employees. The bills will be presented in the state assembly for approval. An ordinance will also be sent to the Punjab Governor.
