Psychology suggests that people who repeatedly say, I'll do it tomorrow, are often influenced by a combination of emotional and cognitive processes. Factors such as emotion regulation, temporal discounting, self-efficacy, habit formation, perfectionism, and the gap between intentions and actions can all contribute to delaying tasks, even when someone genuinely wants to get them done.
