Probe report on Justice Varma to be tabled in Monsoon Session: Lok Sabha Speaker Birla

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will table the inquiry committee's report on former Delhi HC judge Justice Yashwant Varma on the Monsoon Session's opening day, July 20. This move allows Parliament to discuss impeachment proceedings, even after the judge's resignation. The panel investigated allegations following the discovery of unaccounted burnt cash at his residence in March 2025. Justice Varma resigned on April 9, 2026.
