Owaisi urges Telangana to issue residence certificates ahead of voter roll revision

Asaduddin Owaisi requested Telangana's Congress government to issue Permanent Residence Certificates. This move aims to prevent residents from electoral roll deletions during the revision exercise. Karnataka's Congress government recently issued similar certificates to its residents. The BJP has raised constitutional and national security concerns regarding this initiative. Union minister Shobha Karandlaje has sought intervention from the Union Home Minister.
