NCLAT upholds ED's PMLA powers over insolvency moratorium

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal has ruled that companies in insolvency proceedings cannot shield assets suspected of being proceeds of crime. Upholding actions by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against Siddhi Vinayak Logistics Ltd., the tribunal stated that the Prevention of Money Laundering Act's (PMLA) adjudicatory mechanism holds exclusive jurisdiction over such attached assets.
