Modi touches feet of 97-year-old Syama Prasad aide at Bengal swearing-in

Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored 97-year-old Makhanlal Sarkar at the oath-taking ceremony for Bengal's first BJP chief minister. Sarkar, a close associate of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, was recognized for his contributions to the nationalist movement and building the BJP organization in West Bengal. He was arrested in Jammu and Kashmir in 1952 while accompanying Mukherjee.
