Manipur Violence: SC extends Justice Mittal (retd) panel tenure till July

The Supreme Court has extended the tenure of a three-member committee, led by Justice Gita Mittal (retd), until July 2026. This committee is tasked with addressing humanitarian aspects of the ethnic violence in Manipur. The panel has already submitted 42 reports and will continue its work.
