Kuki body calls 48-hour strike over abductions in Manipur

Committee on Tribal Unity has announced a total shutdown in Kangpokpi district for 48 hours starting October 29. This action follows the alleged abduction of two Kuki youths from Taphou Kuki village. The committee demanded the immediate and safe release of the youths involved. It accused the government of bias towards Kuki-Zo people in security incidents. Agitation may intensify if the youths are not released unharmed.
