Justice Lisa Gill becomes first woman chief justice of Andhra HC

Justice Lisa Gill has made history as the first woman to lead the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The Supreme Court Collegium recommended her elevation. This move follows a policy to familiarize judges with their new high courts before taking charge. Justice Gill was transferred from the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced her appointment.
