India-UK CETA duty benefits to require CBIC digital authentication

India will implement digital authentication for UK exporter origin declarations starting July 15. This new process requires customs to issue a Unique Reference Number before duty benefits are granted. UK exporters must email declarations to designated Indian customs email addresses for verification. Indian customs will authenticate data shared by UK authorities for this purpose. This system aims to prevent fraudulent claims and ensure compliance with trade agreement rules.
