IMF, Pakistan reach staff-level agreement on $1.2 billion disbursement

International Monetary Fund and Pakistan have reached a staff-level agreement on a loan programme, paving the way for about $1.2 billion in funding, subject to board approval. The deal includes $1 billion under the Extended Fund Facility and $210 million under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility, taking total disbursements under the programme to $4.5 billion out of a $7 billion package.
