ICC approves new format for Men's Cricket World Cup 2027, introduces three-stage structure

The International Cricket Council has approved a new three-stage format for the 2027 Cricket World Cup. This revamped structure aims to enhance competition and ensure more meaningful matches throughout the tournament. Fourteen teams will participate, with a new Super Series and Super 7 league stage introduced. The top four teams will then advance to the semi-finals and subsequent final.
