Former AIADMK minister and OPS loyalist R Vaithilingam joins DMK

Former AIADMK Minister R Vaithilingam formally joined the ruling DMK party. He met DMK President M K Stalin at the party headquarters. Vaithilingam, an MLA from Orathanad, expressed dissatisfaction with the AIADMK's functioning under Edappadi K Palaniswami. He stated the DMK is working for the people and the state's progress. Vaithilingam's move comes ahead of upcoming elections in Tamil Nadu.
