The Indian government has relaxed rules under the PM-UDAY scheme for regularising properties in Delhis unauthorised colonies, now allowing them to be approved on an as is where is basis without the need for layout plans. The move is aimed at benefiting over 10 lakh families by speeding up the issuance of ownership documents and providing greater legal security.
