Chennithala skips CLP meet alleging norms ignored

Soon after the Congress named V D Satheesan as Kerala chief minister, signs of internal dissent surfaced with senior leader Ramesh Chennithala expressing displeasure to Rahul Gandhi over being overlooked despite his seniority and experience. Chennithala later skipped the Congress Legislature Party meeting where Satheesan was elected leader. Meanwhile, K C Venugopal backed the high commands decision, pledged full support to the new government and dismissed criticism over social media attacks by Satheesans supporters.
