Can decide citizenship for registration as voters, not to deport or check visa: EC to SC

The Election Commission informed the Supreme Court its authority is limited to voter registration. It cannot deport individuals or determine visa status. The poll panel's role is to identify citizens for electoral rolls. This clarification came during final hearings on petitions challenging the EC's special intensive revision exercise.
